During this training, you will stay either in a private or a shared room at the Sunrise Hotel Apartments. The hotel has a swimming pool, wonderful views, and is located just five minutes walk away from the yoga studio.
This program is intended for yoga practitioners who wish to deepen their personal growth and learn skills to use for the rest of their life and in daily life and for yoga teachers from all schools seeking a greater understanding of the full spectrum of yoga practices like asana, pranayama, meditation, Yogasutras, and mantras.
This program is also suited for yoga practitioners interested in building a firm foundation to teach yoga to people of all ages and fitness levels and those interested in a comprehensive base for the yoga therapy program.
During three weeks, when both 200 and 300 hours merge, both training’s will share the same self purification and classes and if you already know this teachings, you will deepen your knowledge but if you didn't train with Paros Yoga Shalla the first 200 hours you should get them. This teachings refer to the chakra system, sequencing, alignment, and teaching skills.
During these three weeks, those who are doing the 300 level will have other tasks than the 200 level trainees as part of the syllabus like learning and assisting in hands on alignment, karma yoga, Pratyahara practices, mudras, yoga therapeutics, pregnancy yoga, advanced pranayamas, and advanced meditation practices.
The last week, after the 200 trainees leave, you will be introduced to more advanced asanas, personal practice, teaching, business and studio management, as well as personal teaching and corporate yoga.
You will also enjoy beach classes three times per week along with a comprehensive program on achieving personal well-being through yoga and Ayurveda. This program will offer you a sound foundation in traditional yoga from Patanjali to Krishnamacharya combined with science and modern developments.
On successful completion of this course, you will have an understanding and appreciation of the principles of the science and art of yoga and an introduction to Ayurvedic principles and you will have developed a comprehensive knowledge of the theory of asanas, pranayama, and meditation.
You will also gain skill and confidence in the practice of asanas, pranayama, and meditation and understand the principles necessary to teach yoga in a safe and effective manner.
You will learn the art of sequencing and understand Vinyasa Krama, acquire the tools to enact positive changes in your own life and start on the part of providing the same guidance to others while having the opportunity to be a part of a community of people who are similarly committed to a path of personal growth and transformation at the same time.
This training is divided in two parts; during the first 11 days you will experience a process of self- purification through transformational yoga, an integral approach to physical health, emotional balance, and mental and spiritual clarity founded and created by Sri Swami Vidyanand, a renowned yoga master delving into an experience of embodiment through the Chakra system, the foundation of yoga.
This will be a personal transforming experience integrating all aspects of your being. During this period, you will also focus on alignment, anatomy, and physiology (chakras and the endocrine system) and you will discuss basic philosophy and theory of Hatha yoga as well.
Daily nature walks and explorations are included in this training.
Irana Ji An
Irana Ji An Fouroulis is a senior yoga teacher who has been teaching yoga for more than a decade and living and practicing yoga for more than 20 years. She is the founder, owner, and director of Paros Yoga Shala and Paros Yoga Retreats and Workshops. Irana has dwelt in different lineages of yoga (Sivananda, Ashtanga, Hatha, Anusara, Jivamukti, Bhakti Flow, Prana, Vinyasa, Yin, therapeutics, and Integral) throughout her yoga-life journey. She is also a master meditation teacher and a pregnancy and kids yoga teacher. Irana focuses on chakra work, mantra, pranayama, yoga Nidra, and meditation.
This training will be held at Paros Yoga Shala in Naoussa, Greece. Naoussa is surrounded by orchards and vineyards and the area is as famous for its wine and jam as well as its annual international film festival.
During this training, you will be served three daily delicious meals. All meals will be locally sourced and vegetarian. In the evening, you will take a short walk to the beautiful Open Garden Restaurant to enjoy a delicious dinner with chef Elda Molla.
Please book your flight to arrive at Athens International Airport (ATH). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Paros Yoga Shalla will pick you up from the airport. Let Paros Yoga Shala know the details of your arrival time in advance so they can arrange your transfer to the hotel.
A bus shuttles from Athens International Airport (ATH) arrivals to Piraeus Port for about 10 EUR every 20 minutes. Make sure to arrive at the airport before 12:00 p.m. so you can take the bus to the Piraeus Port and catch the 5:30 p.m. ferry to Paros.
Boats depart daily from Piraeus at 7:25 a.m. and arrive to Paros at 11:40 a.m. and also at 5:30 p.m. arriving to Paros at 9:45 p.m.
