Resting upon 16 hectares of land on a quiet peninsula beside a blissful white-sand beach, this eco-friendly, tented, boutique retreat caters to outdoor adventure enthusiasts with an appetite for indulgence as well as folks who just want to relax and be pampered. From here, you can enjoy a spellbinding vista that extends across the gentle waters of Banyuwedang Bay to the lowland forests of the West Bali National Park, taking in a mangrove-entwined coastline and the tiny uninhabited island of Menjangan, the craggy north-facing folds and ridges of the Tiga Saudara Mountains, and East Java’s volcano alley.
During this retreat, you will be staying in a beach camp tent at Menjangan Dynasty Resort. This glamping resort and dive center in Bali uses a combination of luxury, top-quality, African safari tents that allow you to be closer to nature while still offering all of the modern comforts of home.
Accommodation at Menjangan Dynasty Resort comprises 24 beach camp tents, two one-bedroom cliff tent villas and two two-bedroom cliff tent villas, created to the highest standards in South Africa from robust double-skinned canvas.
The tough outer skin can be rolled up to reveal the see-through inner layer, which is fashioned from mesh and acts as a window, The cool air-conditioned interiors of the tents cleverly capture the ambiance of the classic safari club style with glass doors, natural materials, and muted colors harmonised with blackened steel elements, as well as the recurring, decorative theme of an old map of the Menjangan area.
The romance of sleeping under canvas meets the tranquility of the great outdoors with private alfresco decks, while the cliff tent villas each have the additional luxury of a private pool.
Menjangan Dynasty Glamping Resort and Dive Centre in Bali rests upon 16 hectares of land near the village of Pajakaran in Northwest Bali, overlooking the serene Banyuwedang Bay. The Resort is bordered by the spectacular West Bali National Park, which includes the tiny, uninhabited Menjangan (Deer) Island. Deer can sometimes be seen swimming from the island to the mainland, and have even been known to swim across Banyuwedang Bay to the Resort.
This remote and beautiful corner of Bali is literally as far as you can travel from the island’s densely-touristed areas without crossing the sea, but those who are bold enough to venture away from the crowded south will discover a different world. Swimming is safer here, while the snorkelling and dive sites around Menjangan Island rate among Bali’s best.
The incredibly-varied countryside with its wooded mountain slopes, savannah grasslands, rainforest, monsoon forest and mangrove-wrapped coastal flats, offers wonderful opportunities for observing wildlife, trekking, horse-riding, birdwatching, kayaking, and cycling, while the magnificent sunsets, local traditions, artistic culture, and slower pace of life, makes this area diverse, interesting, and delightful.
North Bali is famous for its artistic heritage. The style of the gold and silver work, together with the weaving, pottery, and instrument-making is very distinctive and unique.
Daily breakfast and afternoon tea are included. There is also a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival.
There are a lot of additional activities that you can do during your time in Menjangan Dynasty Resort, such as bird watching, diving, PADI scuba course, Pearl farm visit, jungle trekking, dolphin tour, mangrove tour, temple tour, and safari tour.
