Most of the rooms have breathtaking ocean views and all are built and decorated using non-toxic building materials, organic fabrics, and the work of local artisans to complete the stylish, and intimate accommodations. All the rooms have ceiling fans, air conditioning, and wonderful organic cotton or bamboo sheets.

During this training, you will learn the asanas in their classic form as well as from a developmental perspective, offering a deep understanding of how the body moves. You will also explore the body from a therapeutic perspective, applying the breath, Thai massage, and yoga therapeutic techniques.
This alignment-based Vinyasa yoga 200 hours training will prepare and certify you to:
As part of the activities, you will sit in daily meditation and learn to instruct on the art of meditation from direct experience. You will read and discuss Yoga Sutras, Power of Now, and Buddhist teaching, and will participate in workshops to gain a better understanding of yourself and eventually your students. During the three weeks you will have to complete written and practical assignments, as well as a final written evaluation and teaching demo to round out the program.
The daily schedule runs from 06:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., six days a week, with four days off to rest, enjoy and integrate what you have learned.
LagoCph devotes a good portion of the training in helping you to bring to light the things that are blocking your truest expression as a person and teacher. Through the sutras and other various spiritual perspectives, you will move through a series of mini workshops that will help you let go of belief systems that are no longer working for you and bring into your life all that you want and hope to be!
Anamaya, the retreats venue, is located in one of the highest points in Montezuma, overlooking some of the best ocean views in the area. It is only five minutes from downtown and several beautiful beaches.
Montezuma is in the Puntarenas Province, located at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula, and started as a small fishing village. The area began to attract tourists in the 80s due to its natural beauty, waterfalls, variety of activities, and opportunities to relax, and now it is also known for its yoga community, as well as its creative and healing arts.
During the whole training, you will have plenty of fruit in the morning, and two vegetarian meals (brunch and dinner) will be served daily.
Meals and drinks outside of the venue are not included.
Each Saturday at 10 a.m. there is an outdoors market in Montezuma, were you will find a wide variety of organic vegetables and fruit, plus other healthy food products such as almond milk, almond butter, and fresh herbs, cheese, etc. Other vendors sell their baked goods and set up displays of art, clothes, and jewelry. Usually theres live music and lots of activity. Its a good way to connect to the local community.
For the active types, other activities include snorkeling and scuba diving, canopy tours, nature hikes, surfing, and fishing. There are 21 beaches within a 30 minutes' drive from the hotel, making it a great option to explore the area. Cabo Blanco National Reserve is nearby and has hiking trails through the rainforest to a remote beach on the southern tip of the peninsula. Montezumas many waterfalls are some of the best in the country, with warm water and surrounded by nature.

From there its about a 30-minute scenic ride, which costs 40 USD for a regular taxi for maximum 4 people or 10 USD per person for a van (5-9 people).

The bus trip takes about 5.5 hours total. There is one rest stop between San Jose and Puntarenas.
