Please be aware spaces in the bungalows is small and separated by a thin cloth. Should you wish for a private bungalow please book the private package.
During this yoga retreat, you will study two systems essential to merging the subconscious with conscious. One system being lucid dreaming to access the subconscious. The second being the chakra system for it is a complete package providing the tools to tune your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. Allowing you to access higher states of consciousness that will then enable you to go beyond the veil.
La Casa Shambala encourages and holds space for stillness and connection to nature in its most raw form. Many times, maybe even all the time, the best thing one can do to connect or re-center and align is to simply lie naked on Mother Earth, letting the elements heal and upgrade you to a whole new level of connection. In the first three weeks, you will work with the elements in a logical, artistic, physical, and meditative way.
Starting with the first week, you will immerse yourself into the elements of earth and water, connecting to the forces of gravity and fluidity. Transitioning to fire and air the second week, you will study combustion and repulsion, forces resulting in transformation and liberation. The third week is governed by ether and the mind element - exploring infinite possibilities followed by balancing dualities, your ability to make decisions.
In the third week, you will go into the depths of inner realms where you will embrace five days of silence - time for you and (infinite) space to connect. As you approach new moon that week, it is the perfect time to get quiet and go inward and set intentions for what you want to grow.
During the third week (the week of silence) and the last week, space is held and facilitated to explore creative expression, unlocking inhibitions of the right brain, and connecting even more to the spirit of mother nature. The last week is left to enjoy the space created, bringing all practices and teachings into one collective system, living in a harmonic yogic community as you connect to the higher realms of the chakra system.
During each week, daily practices are fully aligned with the specific energy of the chakra of focus. Daily practices consist of: morning meditation and Hatha yoga to tune the physical body, lecture or discussion to feed the left brain, creative expression, mantra, and evening meditation to connect to the dream realms. All daily practices are connected so you can fully embody how the energies of the chakras work in the body and beyond.
Beyond the Veil is aligned with energies of the moon. Hence, the sacred month begins with a full moon ceremony, opening the space and creating a sacred gateway to align all energies and intentions. As the new moon approaches, you will take this fertile seed planting time to clear stagnant energies and cultivate new ones, by coming into silence and a place of inner stillness.
Working the way through the moon cycle, you will go from the outer energy of the lower chakras to more quiet energy of the higher chakras, and back to connecting the all of the existence in the highest, the trinity of consciousness chakras, and completing this transformation with a sacred full moon ceremony once again.
You will work with a multitude of modalities: asana (Hatha yoga postures), pranayama (energy control via breathwork), various meditation methods, and channeling creative energies through sound, drawing, writing, and crafting. Musical instruments and art supplies will be available, but please feel free to bring anything that has been calling your expression.
This immersion is for all types of yogis, including beginners, as yoga asana practice and meditation will begin with more assistance and instruction, and progress with less and less, allowing you to access the more subtle inward energies, and create your own personal energy field in a group setting. La Casa Shambala invites you to co-create space in daily activities and the dream world, through tuning the chakra energies in the entire being. In this journey, they emphasize the importance of inner stillness, discovering the darkness and light within.
Ekadasi, breathing your way to liberation, releasing limitations buried in the physical body. Ekadasi literally means 11 days. It is a profound pranayama technique, with pranayama meaning energy control, removing energy blockages, emotional, physical, and mental trauma. Ekadasi is a transformational pranayama technique aimed to go deeply into the layers of your subconscious to clear out any energy blockages preventing you from being within your own truth and walking your path effortlessly.
Energy blockages in your subconscious might have been created through unresolved emotional experiences in the past and need to be settled to create peace of mind for you to be able to step up into your full potential. Many of the traumas are emotional in nature, however, there might be physical trauma to be relieved with the removing of the energy blockages.
The sensations of the physical body might confront you with mental blockages as well, namely fear, anxiety, and expectations you need to live through in order to release yourself from the limitations you put yourself into. In fact, old physical pains (i.e. toothaches, headaches) can return for a day or so and then subside again. Do not take these symptoms seriously at this time, it is only your nervous system awakening an old memory.
For many people, this may be a moody and frustrating period, and you may be more irritable in social situations. Your mind might go through all kind of confusing thoughts. It is best not to react to any physical or emotional pain until after the 11 days. Just allow it all to pass and remember that what you are going through is your gateway to a higher expression.
The practice will take place in a safe container to allow for each and every one to express freely at any time. During the actual practice, emotional and physical effects can be very intense while after the practice effects tend to be subtler yet quite deep.
It is highly recommended you dive into the practice of self-observation. You will be journaling to understand and release traumas and stories of the past. Please note it is important for each individual to understand the concept of self-responsibility to effectively clear out and rewire the nervous system with Ekadasi
During this yoga retreat, you will enjoy a waterfall adventure day with a hike.
