You will be accommodated at HIYA in Kathmandu, Nepal, away from the noise and air pollution of the city, the center rests above a lush vibrant valley surrounded by beautiful gardens, a local village, and a forest nearby. It is the perfect environment for spiritual growth.
You will have three options for accommodation: eco house with attached bathroom, Kailash bungalow with private bathroom, and cottage tent with common bathroom. There are a lot of facilities at Himalayan Yoga Resort that you can enjoy during your stay, such as dining area, garden, healing chamber, library, and free Wi-Fi.
This 200-hour yoga teacher training includes 180 contact hours and 25 hours of teachings with an experienced yoga teacher.
Anatomy and physiology (20 hours)
The remaining contact hours (55 hours) and elective hours (15 hours, either contact or non-contact) are to be distributed among the five educational categories, but the hours may be allocated at the discretion of each RYS based on their program's focus.
Dr. Subodh Simkhada
Dr. Subodh is the resident expert. He is a certified yoga teacher and a bona fide naturopathic physician. His other notable accomplishments include advanced training on different types of massage like Ayurvedic, Shiatsu, Thai traditional, and foot reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, and Ayurvedic panchakarma training in Kerala, India. He also holds a Reiki master degree in Nepal.
Rajkumar got his master in human consciousness and yogic science from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. He participated in a national workshop on yoga and alternative therapies in 2014 and 2015. He also participated in a national workshop on neuropathy in Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya.
The teaching training program will take place at the Himalayan Yoga Academy in Kathmandu, Nepal. Kathmandu is the capital and largest municipality of Nepal and is the gateway to tourism in Nepal. It is portrayed as a beautiful valley with historical landmarks, the old monasteries, arts, cultural heritage, and as the city of temples.
The yoga teacher training includes daily breakfast, lunch, dinner, and herbal teas. Organic, vegetarian, and vegan diets are followed as much as possible, using locally-grown fresh produce. Every guest will get a bottle of mineral water. Feel free to refill your bottle in the dining area.

Hike into a local village and experience Nepali culture first hand; stay a few nights with a Nepali family.
Explore the local jungle with its many hiking trails; meditate there to get real inner peace.
Take a 30-minutes walk to discover world heritage sites.
Enjoy the quietude of early morning or late evening while on a walk through the countryside.
Walk down to the nearby the springs and see the running taps and villagers bathing and washing there.
Explore the Kathmandu valley with a professional tour guide.
Go on a spiritual walk into the jungle with your yoga guru and take a rest for a while listening to the wisdom of the teacher.
Around the centers there are Hindus temples and Buddhist monasteries. You can go there for spiritual activities morning, afternoon, or evening (puja, chanting, and kirtan).
Give back to Nepal for your great experience here by traveling to local villages, temples, and health centers; spend time lending a hand on various projects.
Please book your flight to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Transfer from and to the airport is included. HIYA will pick you up from the airport.
