Hari-Om carefully selects the venues for its training courses to ensure comfortable and secure lodging, delicious vegetarian and organic meals, and an inspiring and lush environment for your study. For this retreat, you will be accommodated in single, double, or triple rooms at the Costa Dulce Hotel and Retreat Center, a truly stunning place in which nature, tranquility, and relaxation meet to make your yoga immersion a unique experience.

The calm, healthy, and safe environment is an ideal setting to deepen the practice and knowledge of yoga. Far away from the confusing noise of hectic city life and so close to the primordial sounds of nature around, you will learn to nourish harmony with all living creatures and reclaim your universal and cosmic connection, which is the true essence of yoga.

Located on Playa Escameca Grande, Costa Dulce is committed to a grassroots approach by practicing a sustainable-living philosophy that includes the use of locally-grown, organic produce and a particular care to the environment. The rancho-style yoga shala overlooking the Pacific Ocean and jungle adds an energizing touch to the already powerful vibe of this magical location.

Enjoy ocean views while relaxing in a hammock or sofa from your front porch. The open-air design in all of the hotel's unique rooms keeps you cool while connecting you with nature. The center has different room options, from dorms, to cabins, to bungalows. A 24-hour front desk service is available for the guests' convenience. The Dulce Cocina keeps you healthy and happy with delicious, family-style meals.

The Casa Ola lounge provides a big common area to meet fellow travelers, and is a great place to have a cold beverage and watch the sunset over the surf. Some of Costa Dulce's most popular attractions include daily yoga classes on the beach-view platform, surfing and surf lessons, high-quality massages, fishing, waterfalls, horseback rides, paddle boarding, hiking, boating, on-site sea turtle nursery, all provided in a welcoming atmosphere by a friendly community and staff.

Hari-Om yoga teacher trainings are always intense and challenging. They integrate tools and techniques from other traditions and practices such as Muay Thai, zen, Taoism, ecstatic dance, and dynamic meditation because yoga is a dynamic path to a deeper and integral comprehension. Many people are now past the point of being satisfied with simple explanations as “what degree the ankle should be placed” or “how high the arm should be raised” in an asana.

The school’s program integrates every aspect that is considered necessary for a thorough teacher training. Hari-Om is a school of integral yoga, which means that it teaches a yoga type that stretches beyond the boundaries of style and tradition. The courses are led by highly-qualified teachers that have solid experience in many different topics, from asana to meditation, yoga therapy, Ayurveda, anatomy, philosophy, mantra, and bhakti to provide a solid foundation for students.

Yoga is not a dogmatic practice and when it becomes fanatical, it can only add ignorance to ignorance. In this training, there are at least four hours a day of powerful practice and a strong commitment is required from the students who decide to join and immerse themselves in the practice.

If observing your perceived limits and challenging them beyond what you thought possible in a conscious way, strengthening your body and inner body, and staying consistent on a path toward power is what you're searching for, then you are very much invited to join. Leaving your comfort zone and transmuting it into your yoga practice is Hari-Om's aim and forte.

Students will be given a book that will cover all the necessary teaching materials. Reading of integrative tests will be advised. All material will be sent via email two weeks before the course and have to be printed by the students prior to arrival for the course.

During the 200 hours of the teacher training program organized by Hari-Om, pranayama plays an important role. The concept of prana is explained by describing the five main types of prana (prana, apana, vyana, samana, udana), and what pranayama, the bandhas, and the breath cycle mean.

The program is divided into three units, including a practical part in which the participants are guided to experiment the different pranayama techniques, and a theoretical part where the techniques are explained together, with the effects, benefits, and how they work by an anatomic and physiological point of view.
