The Source Peru is an edge-of-luxury ayahuasca center and retreat destination nestled between a breathtaking 100-foot waterfall, a river canyon, and two spectacular mountains. The property is beautifully landscaped and surrounded by fragrant eucalyptus groves with an abundance of fruit trees on the grounds. The rooms are based on twin occupancy. However, a small number of private rooms are available on request for an additional cost.
The Source Peru can accommodate up to 24 guests in shared rooms. Connected to the main lodge, the twelve primary guest rooms are split between two floors, with each level boasting a huge shared bathroom containing rich mosaic tile flooring, multiple smoked glass and tile shower stalls with large rain-style showerheads, and on-demand hot water.
The rooms are beautifully appointed with two huge, roomy dressers and two exceptionally comfy single beds dressed with two pillows, high-thread count linens, a thick down duvet, and alpaca wool blankets. Each room has a balcony or terrace with a small table and comfortable chairs where you can relax and drink in the fresh mountain air and stunning valley views. Two of the lovely guest rooms can be converted to queen sized beds for couples or VIPs.
The upper level of the main lodge at The Source Peru boasts an extensive lending library filled with over 1,000 books sure to be of interest to the guests. Topics include philosophy, spirituality, yoga, shamanism, plant medicines, poetry, fiction, health and wellness, and more. Several large, comfy leather sofas divide the space and invite guests to cozy up to the large stone fireplace.
Extending from the lodge, the covered outdoor terrace overlooks the beautiful grounds, the magical ceremony space, and the magnificent Apus (mountains) that tower above the property. The outdoor space is carefully laid out to provide quiet areas to immerse in nature, meditation or personal practices. Yoga and meditation sessions can be held outside on the lawn amid the cascading water features that flow throughout the property.
Back inside the lodge, there is a broad array of board and card games for guests’ use and a massive octagonal table with eight armchairs at which to play them or to hold meetings. To round out the lodge experience for the non-plant medicine retreat guests, there is a large drop-down viewing screen and projector with sound system available for presentations or movie nights.
Though The Source Peru is located in a beautiful, secluded spot in the Sacred Valley, conveniences such as laundry service, including wash, line-dry and fold, and 24-hour Wi-Fi (in the main lodge) are available and included in your stay. Please note that by design, Wi-Fi is not available in the guest rooms as you are encouraged to relax and disconnect from technology as much as possible while here.
During this retreat, you will explore how women from diverse cultures have participated in the mysteries of life; as daughters, mothers, grandmothers, priestesses, healers, dancers, and artists of many mediums. By opening a sacred space for exploration, you will support and cultivate a beautiful community to blossom with creativity, inner fire, and love. Come and deep dive into an exploration of the many aspects of the divine feminine. Engage in this through ceremony, art, sound, yoga, meditation, sacred sexual practice, movement, and Tantra.
This is a journey through nine days of self-exploration, deepening into a series of sacred activation practices that will offer you the means to tap into your inner goddess and harness the divine energy that is your true nature. By combining both sacred feminine activation and embracing the divine goddess, you will be able to take a deeper dive into your essential and collective self, reinforcing your bond with Gaia (mother earth - goddess) and the wider universal energies.
In addition, by harnessing the feminine intelligence of the sacred ayahuasca vine and the complementary energy of the wachuma (San Pedro) cactus, you will also be led in ceremonies by a family of Andean plant medicine workers. With the aid of these sacred visionary plants, you will build upon and deepen your connection to the divine goddess while fully supported by a wonderful team of experienced facilitators.
Please note that if you are not feeling called to engage with the shamanic plant-based medicine ceremonies (ayahuasca and wachuma), an alternative program will be available during scheduled plant ceremony times.
