Elisa Williams Yoga works hard to create a practice that can be adapted to suit all-comers. The yoga classes will comprise the spectrum between slow flow and deeply restorative yoga gently and Yin. You can do as much or as little as you please. The 10 yoga practices arranged throughout the week will be of varying lengths and content. There is never any pressure for guests to take part in every yoga class and as always non-participating partners are most welcome on the holiday.
Elisa doesn't belong to any particular school of yoga and she teaches in a spontaneous, non-dogmatic way. Students work at their own pace with a strong emphasis on taking what they need that day from their practice and leaving out what they don't. In general, the morning yoga sessions in Kerala will comprise more flowing yoga practices, with modifications offered to suit the individual levels of students. There will also be pranayama (breathing techniques) and guided meditation and relaxation. The late afternoon/ early evening yoga classes will include a slower asana practice, with some poses held longer for deepening, Yin yoga, gentle and restorative sessions, again with pranayama, guided relaxations, yoga Nidra and meditations.
The retreat takes place at Kanan Beach, Nileshwar, Kasarogod in Kerala.
