Programma

Vijnana Yoga

Vijnana is an active form of yoga, where you use the breath to align your spine and form the posture from there. Jnana means knowledge. Vijnana means 'knowledge from within'. In Vijnana yoga there is active work with the breath and more specifically, with the vayu's.

Vayu means 'wind' and Vayu is also the Hindu god of the wind. With the help of the vayu's we are able to address our subtle body more. The practice of the asanas with precision and gentleness, along with the vayus, makes you turn inward.

Plant medicine

Ayahuasca is the collective name for a group of plant concoctions that combine plants containing MAO inhibitors with plants containing other (usually indole) alkaloids. The name ayahuasca comes from the language of the Quichua and can be translated as “garland plant of the soul”. In Quechua, aya means spirit, dead, ancestor, or soul; huasca means rope or vine, after the Banisteriopsis caapi liana, a staple in most ayahuasca brews.

Preparation of Ayahuasca in the Iquitos Region of Peru

Ayahuasca is used ritually by some Native American tribes in the Amazon rainforests of South America. It is not known when use started; the tradition is certainly hundreds of years old. Traditional use in South America has now spread from Ecuador in the west and the Orinoco in the north to Paraguay in the southeast.

The tea is generally made from a plant (the Psychotria viridis, which contains the psychoactive substance dimethyltryptamine (DMT)) and a liana (the Banisteriopsis caapi, which contains the MAO inhibitor Harmine / Harmaline). The combination of these two substances creates a very strong psychoactive brew with a strong consciousness-altering effect.

Equine therapy

The horse helps you in the process of becoming aware, but also makes it easier because you don't have to talk and can experience more support. That is why horse therapy can be very nice for people who have difficulty with their feelings or who do not like to talk. Children also often find horse therapy much nicer than talk therapy.

Why equine therapy is so effective

  • You are motivated to act instead of just talking, you are literally set in motion which bypasses rational thought processes
  • The horse reacts to your feeling and appearance. This makes unconscious processes conscious. You know better how you come across, what your appearance says, and when you are tense. This provides the basis for working on your development
  • You have a safe environment to work on new behaviors. And you feel relaxed by the horses and the fresh air
  • Rational thought processes are bypassed. You can't think very well with a loose horse in the arena

Why horses?

  • Horses are flight animals and are therefore constantly monitoring their environment. Horses have strong senses and the ability to sense from a distance what is going on inside a predator (human). Are they tense (and chasing) or relaxed (and satiated)?
  • Horses are honest and provide an objective mirror of the human being. They give you direct feedback on your behavior, accelerating the process of awareness and self-reflection
  • Horses live in a herd. In these herds, they are dependent on each other. It is important that someone points out the danger (lead mare) and defends them (lead stallion). In addition to this ranking, it is also important for the herd to know if everyone is healthy, they stand up for weak herd members
  • In addition, communication is very important in a herd of horses. They communicate non-verbally. This also ensures that they quickly read and respond to our posture. By knowing the horse's language, the horse therapist can translate the reactions to the person. This provides the person with insights into what the impediment may be related to
  • You don't have to talk a lot, but you will do and feel a lot. You get experiential exercises with horses, combined with reflective conversations at the horsebox with the coach
  • Bron voor Rust&Geluk will work next to the horse, so you don't have to have experience with horses. It is suitable for anyone who wants to gain more insight into their feelings, behavior, and patterns

There is a special breathwork workshop included. You will learn tools in a pleasant and quick way, using your breath while being amongst horses.
