BaliSpirit offers a private twin or double room for two in a two-star hotel with outside swimming pool in the center of Ubud. Free Wi-Fi is available. This area is busy enough to find many stores and cheap but very good restaurants for vegan and vegetarian food lovers, but peaceful enough to be able to relax after a long festival day and get ready to the next one.

BaliSpirit festival blooms every year in the heart of the magical island of Bali, surrounded by tropical rice fields, temples, and timeless spirituality. The diverse and vibrant community has its roots in the core life principle of Balinese Hindu Tri Hita Karana - to live in harmony with God, with people and with nature.

On April 2-8, 2018, from dawn to dusk and through the starry nights, you’ll be inspired by world-class yoga, dance, breathwork, and music. You can dive deep into mindful workshops and diverse yoga classes. Align your body and mind through holistic and healing practices. Explore ancient cultures and traditions at the community market and bring your little ones to discover the kids’ space. Sing and shake it off at the Bhakti music concerts and cacao ceremonies and let yourself go at the liberating ecstatic dances.

This spirit pass gives you unlimited access to all festival programming for six days & 7 nights - all yoga, meditation, breathwork and dance workshops, seminars and musical performances every day and night.

daytime workshops and music nights at BaliSpirit festival on April 6, 7, and 8, 2018. There are over 50 workshops during these three days of yoga, dance, movements, breathwork, healing and personal development seminars, as well as day and night live music concerts. Daytime and night music vary from local Balinese performances to world music and kirtan. This area is for people wanting to visit and soak up the community atmosphere.

BaliSpirit festival is a family-friendly festival, offering activities for all ages. If you are coming with kids, kids' zone (babysitting included) is available all day every day in the festival area with great games and a kids program full of fun activities to make sure your little ones are occupied while you enjoy various parts of the festival.

Kids' activities feature a lineup of arts and crafts, dance and music workshops, storytelling, and more. All programs are appropriate for all ages, including adults. Programs are accessible with kids explorer pass and materials are provided. All paints and art materials are non-toxic and mostly washable but please wear clothing that may be color enhanced. Children under two years of age are welcome to join in with a parent or guardian. Teenagers over 12 years old can also enjoy every festival programs in full width for a family-friendly price.

The staff consists of talented and passionate teachers, wildlife experts, artists, musicians, and parents whose goal is to make your time at the BaliSpirit festival a mega-fun experience. For the eight-day duration of the festival, there is a shuttle service from central Ubud to the day and night venues which runs from 07:00 until midnight.

The shuttle points this year are Monkey Forest Ubud, soccer field, cafe on Hanoman Street, Coco Supermarket at Pengosekan, and Kafe ARMA. If night events run past midnight, the shuttles will still operate. However, if the night events end before midnight, the last shuttle will be at midnight on the dot. If one should need transport after midnight, there are plenty of drivers who will take you safely to your next destination for a fee.

Yoga and meditation

There are classes for all levels, for absolute beginners to handstand lovers across all traditions of yoga. Whether you are a beginner or experienced yogi, BaliSpirit promises a wide variety of classes with an exciting array of well-known instructors from around the globe. All the teachers, presenters, and artists joining you at BaliSpirit festival from all over the world are passionate about sharing knowledge to enrich, support and enlighten everyone joining the festival.

BaliSpirit festival offers a robust yoga schedule from 08:00 to 17:00 daily, with a variety of suitable workshops and styles of yoga such as Anusara, Yin, Kundalini, Hatha, Tantra, Mantra, Prana Flow, Vinyasa Flow, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Laughter yoga, Afro Flow, children's yoga and more! You can start with a rockin' Vinyasa in the morning and continue with Blissology yoga in the afternoon, culminating your day with a breathwork ceremony. The options are endless!

Bhakti Night

The Bhakti Nights performances are lively and range from ecstatic dance to ceremonies and devotional chanting. They feature artists from all over the world. The special music nights (opening party and closing ceremony) offer a unique experience.

Daytime music stage

Music is the heart and soul of the festival and the beats and tunes are ever-present. The festival begins with Bhakti nights of sacred music with participatory concerts, such as Kirtan and chanting, and continues over the weekend on the 'One World One Stage', highlighting internationally known artists. In addition, the daytime Coco Love Stage located at the Dharma Fair features a dynamic festival vibe, including live music and daily Balinese dance performances, while various yoga and dance workshops incorporate live music as well.

Set in the corner of the Dharma Fair, the fun and lively Coco Love Stage features a wide range of uplifting music and dance performances throughout the day. From local Balinese performances to world music and kirtan, this area is for people wanting to visit and soak up the community atmosphere of the festival. Visit from April 3 - 8, from 12:00 until closing.

Dance

Awaken your spirit, free your mind and reconnect with your body through dance and movement. From Ecstatic Dance to West African dance or Masala Bhangra workshop, the BaliSpirit festival offers a variety of classes, encouraging positivity and life-affirming fun. Dance workshops are open to all levels and available at various times throughout the day.

Healing

A central area of the festival grounds are the infamous healing huts featuring renowned healers, offering sessions in a variety of areas such as Cranial sacral, Reiki, Oneness Blessings, Balinese traditional healing, chakra balancing, Esalen massage and Tama-Do sound medicine, to name a few. In addition, healing is layered into most yoga classes and workshops, so be sure to check out some of the sound healing meditation, Yin yoga, and breathwork classes for a different (but equally amazing) healing experience.

Seminars

Knowing that attendees may need a yoga break or just want to get off their feet, BaliSpirit offers a wide variety of seminars, covering topics such as Vedic astrology, the business of yoga, spiritual nutrition, passion compass and much more!

Markets

With over 70 vendor booths between the vibrant daytime and nighttime markets, the BaliSpirit festival features local Balinese vendors who emphasize health and wellness through organic and healthy foods, crafts, clothing, and merchandise. The daytime Dharma Fair is open to the public for a small fee, while the nighttime markets are included with all ticket types.

Community day and closing ceremony

Community day will be held on April 8 (Sunday) at 10:00-17:00 while the closing ceremony is at 17:00-23:00. The festival ends with the iconic community and family day. The day offers the local community a space to find the connection with families through an inspiring program of bilingual classes, performances and family-friendly workshops with some of the top guest presenters.

Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Tymi Howard (500 E-RYT) is an international yoga teacher, certified holistic health coach, owner of Guruv Yoga Studios in the US and contributing writer for Elephant Journal. Tymi pioneered the Vinyasa and Yin yoga uprising in her hometown of Central Florida with signature classes, workshops, and teacher training. She is a happily retired ballet dancer grateful to be traveling the world in flip flops, inspiring people to discover their life's purpose through the art of yoga. Self-proclaimed travel junky, foodie, writer and animal rights advocate, she is a lover of God, life, and yoga.
Danny Paradise
Danny Paradise, originally from Canada, is an international yoga teacher, musician, songwriter, performer, recording artist, filmmaker, world citizen, and activist. He began studying Ashtanga yoga in 1976 with the West's first adepts - David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff. Since 1979 as the world's first traveling advanced Ashtanga yoga teacher, Danny has played a seminal role initiating people worldwide in over 40 countries in the practices and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga and shamanism. In the course of 38-year teaching and traveling, he has also taught some of the world's most renown musicians.
Janet Stone
Janet Stone’s studentship began at 17 under the meditation teachings of Prem Rawat. His reverence for simplicity and finding joy in the rise and fall of life live on in her practice and teaching today. In 1996, she traveled to India, the birthplace of her grandfather, and became dedicated to the path of yoga. Janet blends the alchemy of her own practice with decades of studentship. She aspires not to teach but to allow the practice to emanate from her, letting awareness blend with movement and breath. Based in Bali and San Francisco, she leads immersions, retreats, workshops, and more.
Duncan Wong
Duncan is the creator of Yogic Flow Arts system and the originator of California warrior yoga in the west. He is well-known as the world's leading proponent in the field of yogic flow motion dynamics that infuses the natural balance of mantra wisdom, warrior technology, and healing bodywork therapy. His passion is to assist and witness the unfolding of people's humanity via a stick and Stone Age approach to mindfulness. His transpersonal approach to body-mind healing has had a profound effect on countless people.
Gwyn Williams
Zenthai shiatsu was created by Gwyn Williams over 15 years ago, as a fusion of Zen shiatsu, Thai massage, and osteopathic technique. The sacredness of touch continues to be his inspiration. The evolution continues whilst welcoming any music or movement form that brings you away from division and back home to unity and ultimately true freedom. Gwyn's work can be explored through his book "The Zen of Touch", the Zenthai Shiatsu website, or the Zenthai healing centers in Australia (Sunshine Coast, Queensland), or Bali (Shanti Agung Retreat Centre).
