Atha offers 200-hour yoga teacher training and is registered with Yoga Alliance, USA. Through this training program, you will be provided in-depth training in the practices of yoga. The intensive program is designed to encourage students to delve deeper into the dimensions of yoga through extensive study of asanas, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, and appropriate teaching methodologies.

You will be staying in a very relaxed and safe coastal accommodation, simple but very comfortable and clean. The brick huts are spacious with free Wi-Fi access, a sit out area, a fan, a cupboard, and an attached bathroom with hot water facility. Laundry facilities are also available for nominal charges upon request. One can also avail of the various therapeutic treatments at the Ayurvedic clinic right next door equipped with expert staff and facilities. There is plenty to do in Mandrem including exploring the surrounding beaches, restaurants and cafés, shopping, and flea markets.

Atha Goa Yoga Teacher Training Program


Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.

Training schedule

Training will be conducted in English and each day will consist of about eight hours of study, which will include theory and practice sessions, presentations, observation, and group work. Training will start at 7.30 a.m. each day with asana and pranayama practice, and classes will continue till about 5.30 p.m. There will be a breaks for breakfast and lunch. Training will take place from Sunday to Friday, with Saturday being the day off. Schedule may change to include public holidays, or other unforeseen reasons.

Reshma is inspired by the tradition of T.K.V Desikachar whose distinctive practices, principles, and holistic approach encourage individuals to continually redefine their practices and move towards self-awareness and personal transformation. Her experience in the realm of yoga, yoga therapy, anatomy, and bodywork has enabled her to lead teacher trainings, workshops, retreats, and personal classes for different schools and her own, nationally and internationally. She has also developed training programs for special populations and continues to evolve her teaching.
