During this retreat, you will stay in shared accommodations in the historic Landhotel Altes Zollhaus, a 41-room accommodation in a very quiet place on the peaks of the Eastern Erzgebirge and Ore Mountains, at an altitude of 800 meters. The hotel is surrounded by 60,000 square meters of sprawling meadows and a forest area with its own lake.

The location is ideal for hiking; you will find numerous hiking routes and bicycle paths with sign posts to explore. On the grounds of the Landhotel Altes Zollhaus, you will find a barbecue and relaxing area, as well as the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of the resident deer and horses outside your window.

The hotel offers artfully decorated single and double rooms and there is complimentary wireless internet available in the rooms for your convenience. All rooms are equipped with a shower and bath, water closet, hairdryer, shower gel, telephone, alarm clock radio, and satellite television. Extra beds and children’s beds are available on request.

During this retreat, you will have the opportunity to feel and discover your chakras within. Every day, you will take part of chakrawork, with at least four hours of yoga, meditation, and walking meditation daily.

Day 1 - Earth chakra day (muladhara-chakra)

Feel the earth within yourself, experience what holds you from within and gives you strength. Learn the most important Hatha yoga asanas in order to keep the body healthy and fit. Be the rock in the surf!

Day 2 - Sakral chakra day (svadhistana-chakra)

Experience the water within yourself. Feel all the motions and emotions and discover them in a brand new way. Enjoy your lust of life and learn the energetic flow yoga. Dance and go with the flow.

Day 3 - Solar plexus chakra day (manipura-chakra)

Feel the fire within yourself. Use the power and heat of your own inner source of energy in order to find new ways in your life. Discover you personal power to achieve your goals. Enjoy powerful Tantra chakra yoga lessons for a self-determined life. Be the creator of your life.

Day 4 - Heart chakra day (anahat-chakra)

Feel the air within yourself, breath life in and out. Strengthen your complete respiratory system in order to absorb more prana out of the atmosphere. Experience how you can live from love and air with wonderful pranayama lessons. Breathe, live, and love.

Day 5 - Throat chakra day (vishuddi-chakra)

Experience your inner room, the ether within you. Make yourself space for your own place within and look after your thoughts. Let them flow and give them a new structure. See how you can create your own way of thinking and positive mantras to control your mind. Write your own scripture of life and be the author of your life's book.

Day 6 - Chakra of the forehead (ajna-chakra)

Feel the silence within and enjoy yourself. Meditate and dive into the infinite source of your energy. Be calm and experience the status of meditation. Just be.

Day 7 - Crown chakra day (sahasra-chakra)

On this day, you should be still and just do good to you. Carpe diem.

    Anja Mond begon 30 jaar geleden met yoga op een zeer traditionele manier in India. In New York deed ze aan Integrale yoga door Soami Satchitananda en deed ze verschillende Hatha yoga-oefeningen in combinatie met pranayama en meditatie. Eenmaal terug in Duitsland, studeerde ze aan een yoga-academie in Berlijn en nam ze deel aan verschillende TriYoga Flow workshops met Kali Ray. Daarnaast is Anja een NLP-coach en oprichter van Yoga Carpe Diem, haar eigen yogastudio in Stralsund. Ze creëert haar eigen yoga retraites met yoga & coaching ChakraJourney, in veel verschillende landen.

Every day, you will have the opportunity to enjoy two daily delicious Ayurvedic meals.

The location is ideal for hiking; you will find numerous hiking routes and bicycle paths with sign posts to explore. Cross-country, skiing, and sledding are all just outside the hotel door.

The hotel spa's adapted sauna is open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and offers treatments available at an additional cost. The overall design was taught to bring soul and mind in harmony with nature. Four different saunas await you and you can choose between the Himalayan rock salt sauna, the Finnish sauna, the herbal steam sauna, and the hay infrared sauna.

From Dresden central station (Dresden Hbf), take S-Bahn S1 or S2 until Heidenau. There, change to Regionalbahn RB72 direction Altenberg (Erzgebirge) and take bus number 360 to Altenberg railway station.

    CONS Contra's: Das ayurvedische Essen ist nicht so ganz mein Geschmack. Bei unserem Yogalehrer hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass er noch ein bisschen genauer in die Asanas hineinführt. Es waren ein paar Anfänger dabei, die eine genauere Anleitung benötigt hätten.

    PROS Pro's: Es war ein sehr schönes Wochenende. Sehr nette und freundliche Belegschaft. Die Sauna ist super! Das Konzept des Hauses gefällt mir sehr gut. Vorallem die Konstellation mit Yoga. Unser Yogalehrer Roman hat ein großes Wissen und ich konnte mir einiges mitnehmen. Die Intensität der Yogastunden war am zweiten Tag gut dosiert, so dass man sich auf eine angenehme Art gefordert gefühlt hat.

    Great yoga Ayurweda weekend in the Erzgebirge

    CONS Contra's: The only small issue, was that we were not informed that the sauna will be closed at 20:15, so we missed it, going there at 20:30. It was a very hot, sunny day and going to sauna before that time was not our best option. The room for yoga was very small and pretty inadequate: obstacles in seeing each other, noise coming from the stairs and hallways, lack of space, some allergens causing troubles breathing / coughing for 2 participants. I think in hot sunny days, taking the lessons outside would be a great alternative.

    PROS Pro's: The location was excellent, very green, silent , relaxing, amazing forests surrounding the hotel and offering a lot of hiking possibilities. Highly recommendable both for active or wellness vacations. The Ayurveda food, the massage and the yoga lessons were also great. The yoga teacher took even more time than allocated for the lesson and was very patient with the less experienced participants.

    PROS Pro's: I had a very healthy fulfilling stay. As my title indicate, I had plentiful of all 4 activities daily. Hotel facilities and personnels were very nice and supportive. Be warn though, it is very quiet area, and one needs a car for supermarket etc. the massage was very rejuvenating.

    "I had a wonderful time. The yoga practice was a teacher who really enjoyed his profession. The Ayurvedic food was delicious. The several saunas' in the wellness area were new and clean. Well, the value for money is just outstanding."

    "Only minor thing to be aware of is that the hotel is not purely focused on yoga, Ayurveda, or wellness. So you also find there a pizzeria, Italian delicatessen, and a ski-room for those who like langlauf. The hotel really has this 'gemutlich' atmosphere. If you go here, a trip to Seiffen is really recommended, to buy the typical wooden German Christmas products.     "We stayed here to go to the various Christmas markets in the small towns. We were checked in with a warm drink. The owner was very friendly and helped us plan out our market journeys. We had a half-pension breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was typical, meats, cheeses, fruit, eggs, and lots of coffee. Dinner was from a selection of three entrées and every night was different. Everything we ate was delicious. Our rooms were comfortable. I highly recommend this place if you are going to be in this area."

    "We booked here for one night only on our way from Vienna to Berlin, and that's a shame because I would happily stay there for longer, especially when I realized that it's a stone's throw from Glashutte, German watchmaker's heartland. The hotel is really nice, with this special charm of a family run guest house. Rooms are very clean and cozy and the breakfast is really nice. Very nice service as well and although you may find it difficult to communicate in English, I would not consider it an issue though."

    "This German hotel was one of the best we have stayed in. We were pleasantly surprised, as it was a last minute booking and we didn't have a lot of availability to choose from. It was warm and cozy and the only problem we encountered was the fact that we only speak English, even though we live in Germany, and only know enough German to squeek by. The front desk was very helpful, the rooms were cozy and clean, there was free Wi-Fi, and the restaurant was to die for. One waiter spoke good English and the other one a little bit. We are so happy we stayed here even though we were afraid we were going to get stuck in the snow on the very narrow road to the hotel; the wind was blowing hard and there were no snow plows anywhere. We did make it and were happy to be checked in and settled for the night."
