Join this 100-hour Hatha yoga teacher training that is a part of the traditional 200-hour teacher training course in Karnataka, India! The course will be based on the same module that covers the first two weeks or last two weeks of the 200-hour teacher training course. This 100-hour teacher training is created for those who do not have time to attend the 200-hour teacher training at once or those who prefer to do the course in a more relaxed way instead of receiving an intensive four weeks training.
During this yoga teacher training course, you will spend your nights at Nirvana Yoga Shala. You will be accommodated with really great rooms in the yoga center. Moreover, you will also have the most convenient location at very affordable prices. It is a great place to stay with privacy and you can get to hang out with your fellow students.
This cozy and clean school will provide you with private rooms with bathroom, air-conditioner, closed-circuit television (CCTV), and 24-hour security. There are also filtered water, laundry machine, Wi-Fi, roof top, sauna (for a minimum of five persons), jacuzzi, and a chill-out space.
Upon completing this 100-hour yoga teacher training, you will receive a course completion certification by Nirvana Yoga Shala, which does not authorize you to teach yoga classes. When you complete the second 100-hour course (the last two weeks of a 200-hour teacher training course), you will receive a certificate to register with Yoga Alliance.
This course presents a strong emphasis on the classical Hatha yoga series. You are expected to maintain a daily yoga practice during the training. This course includes the following areas of study.
The level one series will be conducted on the first and the second week. The class will be focused on basic stretches, Surya Namaskar A (sun salutations), standing poses, sitting poses, supine poses, prone poses, and finishing sequence. A total of 45 individual asanas will be covered in the first week. The second week of the course will be focused on self-practice alignments and adjustments from the faculties and you.
The afternoon classes will be focused on individual poses, how to practice and align correctly, using yoga accessories like belts, bricks, bolsters, how to lead led a yoga class, and hands-on adjustment.
The level two series will be conducted in the third and the fourth week. The class will be focused on advanced stretches, Surya Namaskar B, advanced poses of standing, sitting, supine, prone, and finishing sequences. A total of 40 advance individual poses will be covered. In the fourth week, you will lead the class and will be able to give hands-on adjustments and alignment. The practical exam is evaluated by faculties of Nirvana Yoga shala.
On the first and the second week, the techniques that will be covered are Kapalabhati, Bastrika, Ujjai, Nadi Shodana, Surya Bhedana, Chendra Bhedana, Anuloma-Viloma, Shithali, Shitkari, and Bramari.
On the third and the fourth week, advanced variations of the first and the second-week practice, bandha, and mudra will be added. Also, on this fourth week, you will lead the class and practical exam will be evaluated by the Nirvana Yoga shala faculties.
Pranayama is the technique of breath control. “Prana” is a breath or vital energy in the body. On the subtle levels, prana represents the pranic energy that responsible for life or life force and “ayama” means control. So, pranayama is “control of breath”. If you can control the rhythms of the pranic energy with pranayama, you can achieve a healthy body and mind.
The classes will be covering some of the basics of muscular-skeletal anatomy. You will also be looking closely at joint mechanics where movement comes from, the nature of body tissues, and how they are affected through yoga. The sessions will include multimedia presentations, hands-on anatomy, case studies of injuries, and why difficulties with certain movements can occur. The lectures include:
The meditation techniques that will be covered are intoning the sounds, third eye, Nadabrahma, Osho Kundalini, chakra sounds, chakra breathing, Gourishankara, relaxing body and mind, conscious sleeping and dreaming, Vipasana, and Zazen.
The entire eight limbs of the Patanjali system are also sometimes referred to as Dhyana or the meditative path. Although strictly speaking, only the last four limbs constitute meditation Pratyahara, Dhyana, Dharana, and Samādhi. The preceding steps are only to prepare the body and mind for meditation. Meditation starts by being separated from the mind and by being a witness. That is the only way of separating yourselves from anything.
