Yoga is for everyone. Yoga is performed all across the world, including in Nepal, where it can be found in nearly every village and city. Nepal is a great destination for yoga visitors, with a diverse range of flora and fauna. Come experience the yogis' hearts being fostered by the beauty and calm that inspired the rishis while cultivating your inner quiet, immerse yourself in traditional rural Nepalese culture.
Niru Yoga Homestay has a capacity of 20 people at a time. When not fully booked, they will always try to provide as many people as possible with a private room (for a shared room price). In case more people book, it is possible you will be sharing the room. Only if you book a private room, you ensure you have a private room for the full duration of your stay.
When you book, please provide your gender. In Nepal, they can not provide a shared room for people of different gender.
During the retreat, you may simply go on a walk to the mountains, rivers, forests, and waterfalls at Niru Yoga Homestay, perform yoga and meditation near the waterfall and forest, and discover new species of birds, plants, and animals. Learn about the Ayurvedic herbs that grow at your feet and how to use them. Practice yoga and meditation in a serene and beautiful setting.
Traditional values, civilizations, and inner self are being forgotten in today's world. Niru Yoga Homestay and Retreat Center is dedicated to maintaining Nepalese traditions and would be glad to demonstrate them to all visitors. Come to their home, and they will serve you wonderful Nepalese food prepared in a traditional manner. You will have a good time and feel refreshed and reconnected when you leave.
No yoga and hiking on Sunday. Yoga in nature (forest) and hiking is done only in good weather and season.
Rajan Bastola has over 25 years of experience as a yoga practioner. His teaching experience ranges from teaching in ashrams, specialty yoga schools, government schools, and NGOs. He is an internationally certified yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga philosophy, asana, and pranayama classes. Rajan believes highly in the healing power of sound and vibration; as such, he uses sound bathing meditation and chakra healing as a foundational part of his practice. He has great knowledge of Ayurvedic therapy and carefully helps to teach guests about the medicinal benefits of herbs.

Niru Yoga Homestay with hiking retreat center has one of the best reviews for food, the kitchen team makes home-cooked food and takes the ingredients from the home garden and farm. Some food they have to buy from the market but almost 80% of food comes from its own garden.
There are apples, bananas, oranges, mangos, grapes, pomegranates, avocados, strawberries, apricots, lemons, peaches, kaki, and guava trees and plants so you can eat them during the season.
For vegetables, Niru Yoga Homestay have plants like potato, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, brinjal, cucumber, carrot, peas, radish, lady's finger, bottle gourd, bitter gourd, capsicum, spinach, beetroot, broccoli, green beans, corn, drumstick, pumpkin, apple gourd, ridged guard, coriander, Eddie, Fiddlehead, garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, etc.
Niru and Rajan can assist you with organizing or helping you on any visit of your interest e.g. Nagarkot, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini, Himalayan Base Camp, or other places in Nepal. If you wish to learn more about the local culture such as learn how to cook Nepalese food, milk the cow, grind herbs and spices, etc., it can also be organized.
Rajan is a certified trekking guide (below 6000 meters) so he can arrange some virgin mountain yoga trekking (4500 meters) please send an inquiry if you are interested.
