He is an internationally certified yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga philosophy, asana, and pranayama classes. Rajan believes highly in the healing power of sound and vibration; as such, he uses sound bathing meditation and chakra healing as a foundational part of his practice. He has great knowledge of Ayurvedic therapy and carefully helps to teach guests about the medicinal benefits of herbs.
This retreat will take place in the beautiful village of Nagarkot, Nepal. It is located 19 kilometers northeast of Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM).
Nepal has a unique landscape that stretches from the pinnacle of Mount Everest (8848.86 meters) in the north to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, in southern Terai where diverse human cultures and natural habitats can be found. It is a matter of pleasure to mention that Nepal is also a home of the countless rivers, glacial lakes, lakes, and creeks with their common origin in the Himalayas.
As it is located on a high hill, it has a very clean environment with its natural resources and is covered with forests. It is renowned for its spectacular sunrise and sunset view of the Himalayas when the weather is clear.
At the homestay, you can easily go for a walk to the mountains, rivers, and waterfalls, and learn the names of the plants and animals. Discover ayurvedic herbs growing at your feet and learn how to use them. Practice yoga in peaceful and stunning surroundings.
The homestay strives to provide nourishing, clean, and tasty vegetarian food. The homestay gets about 75% of its food (depending on the season) directly from the organic homestay farm. The food is prepared in traditional Nepalese fashion with a wood fire on an earthen stove. At the homestay, you can also enjoy all the fruits available ripe from its own trees.
Three meals a day of freshly cooked vegetarian food are provided in the dining area overlooking the mountains to the north of the homestay. The kitchen will accommodate any special dietary needs. If you wish to learn how to make the food at the homestay, you are always welcome to assist in the kitchen.
The menu varies daily and typically includes the following:
Rajan is a certified trekking guide (below 6000 meters) so he can arrange some virgin mountain yoga trekking (4500 meters). Let Niru Yoga Homestay know if you are interested.
