During this retreat, you will stay either in a private or a shared double room. The finca has several terraces for relaxing and enjoying the views and a lovely cobbled courtyard that leads up to a gorgeous swimming pool with jacuzzi and spectacular views.

During this retreat, you will work specifically on your areas in need of care and attention. Furthermore, Nina will design a personalized yoga sequence for you to take home and follow up with Skype sessions to keep you motivated.

Nina Forbes

Nina has been exploring yoga and meditation for 14 years. After receiving her first class during her master's degree at Oxford in mathematics and philosophy, she trained extensively in both the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Iyengar yoga schools.

She now teaches her own method which is influenced by both of these, along with the teachings of Anastasia (Siberian forest dweller currently sharing the ancient knowledge of harmonious living with nature) and her own substantial experimentation with her own body and the power of thought.

Her use of aerial silks and ropes allows people of ages and physical abilities to open in a nurturing and pleasurable way bringing body and mind into optimal health. Her methods elongate the spine and make space in the joints, this lubricates them, which is key for healthy bodies, regaining youthfulness, clearer cognition, eradicating stress, and making you feel really good.

In particular, her use of the silks for inversions allows yoga novices and experts alike to access the most life giving postures. Only when you are suspended vertically, can the spinal column extend to its fullest extent, and it is this quality, along with the body's complete inversion which makes it the most effective activity for elevating your cognitive prowess and entire psycho-physical being; furthermore wrinkles are both reduced and prevented, and your outer complexion becomes more radiant.

Nina has also gone deeply into improving abdominal health through yoga and breathing practices (pranayama). The health of the abdominal organs is both key to the emotional and overall physical health as well as being one of ingredients of a certain lightness of being, which is manifested both physically in one's yoga practice (a phenomenon sometimes described as floating) and in daily life through graceful movement, as well as on the subtler emotional and mental planes.

Nina teaches a special breathing practice which both relaxes the body and mind and keeps the mind focused, alongside a cognitive practice for inner and outer transformation achieving ones goals and manifesting creative projects and dreams. Nina's sessions effectively and pleasurably open up the body. Spine elongation is key, which is essential to good health, rejuvenation, and relaxation.

This retreat will take place at Casa Shakti in Ibiza, Spain. Casa Shakti is a 17th century finca, nestled in pine covered hills behind the town of San Carles de Peralta, surrounded by nature and the scent lavender and rosemary. The house sits in an idyllic spot, on a hilltop with wonderful sweeping views over the valley and out to the sea to the island of Formentera.

The land extends over 50 000 square meters and is covered partly by forest, which offers shade and respite from the heat of the summer, and partly a large expanse of almond trees, which blossom spectacularly in spring. The large century-old terraces are devoted to organic cultivation and houses two lovely rescue horses.

During this retreat, you will be served three daily meals. The chef will cook up wonderfully nutritious breakfast, lunches, and dinners for an amazing purifying diet, wheat free, dairy free, and sugar free healthy, fresh, and organic food to nourish body and soul.

During your free time, you may enjoy sea-swimming, nature and costal walks, time by the pool, beach excursions, and horse-riding.
