On this yoga retreat, you will visit rubber plantation and an old heritage home built in traditional style, and enjoy a day trip to Athirapilly water falls and wildlife sanctuary.

You will also have a day with the masters to explore Kerala culture. This is a structured visit to the epicenter of Kerala's art and culture, the Kerala Kalamandalam, consisting of the following elements:

  • An audio-visual presentation of Saga of Kalamandalam (10 minutes)
  • A presentation and visit to the Koothambalam, the temple theatre (15 minutes)
  • A visit and exposition of 10 - 15 Kalaris, classical dances, Kathakali, Koodiyattam, Chenda (2 hours and 15 minutes)
  • A presentation on Kerala mural paintings and Nrittyolpathi, the origin of dance (10 minutes)
  • A visit of the costume gallery, to see costumes, head-gears, wooden-weapons, masks and jewellery (10 minutes)
  • A glimpse of the old Kalamandalam Campus on the banks of Nila, portrait-gallery, and the tomb of poet laureate Vallathol Narayana Menon, founder of Kalamandalam (15 minutes)

This retreat will take place in Cherutururthy, Thrissur, Kerala, India. Nilayoram Resorts is an oasis of serenity located about 34 kilometers north of the cultural capital Thrissur and 4 kilometers away from Kerala Kalamandalam, Cheruthuruthy. Nilayoram is set on a two acre site, right at the bank of the heritage enriched Bharathapuzha, with vast expanses of lustrous greenery in sylvan surroundings.

Nilayoram is unique and carries a distinctive concept in resort culture.
