A peaceful, rustic ranch in the heart of Texas bluebonnet country. Majestic oaks, green pastures, wildflowers, and 3-acre lake provide a spectacular landscape.

"Tucked away ranch retreat for animal lovers!!"

Loved all the donkeys, goats, and animals roaming the ranch. Variety of yoga styles provide by the instructor depending on the time of day. The host, Kiki, was super friendly and welcoming :) when we arrived, she had a cute welcome basket full of snacks, waters, nuts, and even treats for the goats, Lynn and Molly. Great experience! Definitely recommend

It was a great weekend with beautiful people. Very nice farm, great room and a cute town nearby. I had snacks and water waiting in my room when I got there, the owner is super friendly and everything was just as expected. This retreat is perfect for people who want to unwind and the ones who love the country side.

"Just what I needed"

From the time I drove down the dirt road to the ranch until the time I drove out, I could feel the tension leaving me. The peace and quiet of the country, the friendliness of Kiki and her family and Jordan, the instructor, made me feel at home. I loved being able to feed the animals and my friends and family absolutely LOVED the picture I took of the horse outside my room on Sat. morning! Kiki's meals were nutritious and delish and there was plenty. I wish I could go every couple of months!

"Loved our stay!"

Rooms were very comfortable and clean, special diet needs were handled well, food good, yoga classes were wonderful and overall experience was positive and memorable. The owners are there and do such a wonderful job and making everyone feel welcome. We loved the ranch and the rescued animals, especially Garth the dog who escorted us to meeting area often. Close to fun town of Round Top that has shops and restaurants. Recommend for a relaxed, country ranch get away with yoga and nice, happy people. Would love to return again sometime. Thanks Kiki and company!!!

"Hostess with the mostest"

My partner booked the yoga retreat for my birthday weekend. When he, my brother and I drove into the property, we could see the beautiful oak trees, sheep, horse, longhorns along the dirt road. That definitely got us excited. We got out of our cars and were greeted by Garth the dog. He was so friendly and courteous, he ended up escorting us to our cabins. We met Kiki the multi-faceted owner who went above and beyond for us. We were very grateful to be there and felt very welcomed. When we got to our cabin we saw a nice care package complete with dog, goat, horse and donkey treats. My inner child was screaming with joy. The red standalone cabin was clean, well outfitted, felt roomy and had everything we needed. We had a very relaxing yoga session that day that helped us ease into the yoga weekend; a nourishing dinner followed by a deep conversation with fellow yogis and host. Little did I know after all that, our cabin was going to be the place where my partner would propose to me. The next day, I broke the news and Kiki and Don gifted us with a nice bottle of sparkling rose to celebrate. We felt very special and valued. The next few yoga sessions were wonderful, please look up Rachel Figgs, she really gave kind and loving attention to my fiancé that he actually appreciated his experience as a verdant yogi. HE did all 4 sessions and he's not a yoga person! I was overjoyed and touched. Thank the hosts, guests, my brother and fiancé for a wonderful weekend at Nightbird Ranch.

"Relaxing getaway with fun people"

This was exactly what I wanted, a peaceful getaway. Nestled in ranch country with only a short drive to a small town with great shops, wineries, and food. I wish I would've stayed a few days longer!

"What a wonderful weekend!"

Everything about this weekend was fantastic. The rooms were comfortable and well kitted out with supplies including treats for the various friendly animals on the property. It's in a great location just a short drive from shops and other cool things to experience. But the property itself is great to hang at also. The yoga was perfect. The food was delicious and the conversation flowed easily with Kiki, Don and the other guests. Wish it had lasted longer! Highly recommend!

"Great experience"

Accomodations and overall experience

from United States, January 2019

The ranch was a wonderful get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We loved the atmosphere, the people, and the animals. Kiki & Don were excellent hosts and always available if we needed anything or had a special request. Jordan was a great instructor, who tailored the sessions to the needs of the group. It was fun to try different types of yoga and we feel like we took a comfortable step outside of our comfort zone. :)

"Great experience"

I enjoyed my entire weekend at Night Bird Ranch. It was so much fun. The people were friendly, and the ranch was so peaceful. We had a great yoga instructor who provided us with a variety of yoga styles (Rocket, Slow Vinyasa Flow, Yin, and Fun Flow). I loved the variety and also that each class was modifiable for beginners or easily up leveled for anyone wanting a bit of a challenge. You can get a massage on site if you want one and our yoga teacher offered private yoga lessons during downtime if we wanted one. Next time I come I will take advantage of that! I will definitely be returning for another retreat!

Tasha & the yoga sessions were great. I also enjoyed the interaction with fellow yogis. This ranch is a wonderful place to getaway from the daily routine & commune with nature & Texan hospitality.

"Magical is the only way to describe it"

This ranch is truly a magical little get away. The grounds are beautiful, with walking paths, a pond, and lots of stars to see at night. You'll be joined on your walk with the Owner's dogs who will take you to all the hidden spots, where you'll probably run into Cowboy the horse and a few roaming cows. The yoga Instructor Tasha is incredibly knowledgeable and helps you get in touch with yourself while giving you a good workout. The rooms were cozy and comfy, and sitting around at night with your fellow yogis is an amazingly cathartic experience.

The provided food is fantastic, and you'll be given lots of free time to explore nearby towns, nap, meditate, or hang out and put together a puzzle. I can't recommend this yoga retreat enough as a place to relax, reset your mind, and make a few new friends.

The ranch was amazing. It was the perfect place for a quiet, rejuvenating weekend. The free ranging animals really made this experience unbeatable. The owners and the yoga instructor were so accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to take a breather and get in some yoga.

"Awesome Gift"

Don and Kiki have the gift of hospitality. Warm and engaging couple who personally invest themselves into every detail and make each guest feel like family. Atmosphere is gracious and comfortable. Guests easily connected over conversation, food, wine and lots of laughter. Jordan Hamil, our instructor, was very sensitive to each yogi's level of experience and generous with her knowledge about various yoga practices. I plan on returning with friends.

"Great escape at a great price"

A great get-a-way to jumpstart your yoga practice. Rooms are simple, but the beds are comfortable. Yoga instructor was excellent. There were 8 of us in this group and it was just the right size. Close to the cute little towns for shopping. Hosts are outgoing and fun.

"Sisterhood personified!"

The connection to nature, immediate bonding with other practitioners along with instructor and owners, plus wonderful animals, it was pure bliss and so healing! The yoga was really perfect. I deepened my practice physically and mentally. Jordan gave me tips to perfect poses that were difficult for me. Crow pose is possible, and downward facing dog finally feels like rest. The food, fellowship, and compassion from the owners was too good to be real. I just loved it. Take the journey down the dirt road, it is like no other.

"Just what I needed"

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this retreat and I highly recommend. The owners made me feel as if I was at a second home. The accommodations were very comfortable, the food was great, and Jordan our instructor taught me so much. I showed up Friday so stressed from life I could barely breathe and left on Sunday refreshed, revitalized, and ready to take on the world. I will definitely go back and take friends with me.

"Siscation was a success"

As a first time yoga person, I felt like this was a perfect place to learn. It was a beautiful setting and I loved that the dogs greeted us when we arrived! Jordan was very helpful and careful with my sister and I. All the other guest were friendly as well.

"Wonderful weekend getaway"

I had a lovely time at the Night Bird Ranch. Didn't want to leave! The owners Kiki and Don are welcoming, kind and make you feel like you've known them forever. I stayed at the newly renovated lakeview cabin which is cozy, clean and comfortable. The place is tranquil and just perfect for a weekend getaway, with a nicely put together yoga program and free time at the ranch or nearby towns.

"Wonderful first retreat"

Though the grounds are beautifully wild and feels very remote, the location is a relatively short drive from Houston or Austin. It's also near several wineries and a cute, very small town, Round Top, for easy and fun day trips.

Jordan was a terrific yoga instructor. She is very knowledgeable, high-energy, and worked well with the class, which included a range of inexperienced to 10+ years of yoga. She had great playlists, too.

"Just as we expected - a good time!"

The Night Bird Ranch is a perfect place to escape and relax. It's off the beaten path, there's space to roam, animals happily hanging out, and the conversation is good. Our accommodations were quaint, as my friend and I expected, and functional with two twin beds, a small private en suite bathroom with shower, and an A/C unit that kept the room cool and comfortable throughout the weekend. We enjoyed the yoga studio/dining room/common area space and the conversation with other yogis after breakfasts and dinners. Yoga practice was as promised - vinyasa style and four one-hour sessions provided (one Friday evening, one Saturday morning and one in the evening, and one Sunday morning). Jordan, our teacher, was very friendly, supportive, and had a peaceful but fun energy about her. We enjoyed practicing with her. Also, the ranch owners, Kiki and Don, are super friendly and accommodating. Kiki was a lot of fun to talk with and really kept meal-time conversations light and engaging. Overall, our retreat experience was very good and we had a great time.

"Best yoga retreat!"

This experience was wonderful all around! Kiki & Don Teague we the most accommodating hosts. Jordan was our instructor, she was able to work with beginner (like myself) as well as the advanced yogis. The bunk houses were adorably decorated. The beds were comfy with top noch linens. The rescue animals were an added touch to the "ranch" experience. If you are looking for a recharge, i highly recommend Night Bird Ranch!

"Perfect place to slow down "

Virtually everything... Despite having been practicing yoga for years, this was my first yoga retreat. The ranch was well tucked in away from all the craziness city life can get to you. It allows us to slow down, connect with nature, and simply disconnect from all the "go go go and now now now". The instructor was great in creating focus in every practice. I even took away 3-4 poses I would like to continue developing. The resort owners were also very friendly and they always check in to make sure that we had a great stay. All in all, I would recommend this retreat to others who are either looking to get into yoga or wanting to expand upon their practice. Thank you for the great experience.

I loved the Tasha, the yoga instructor, she was amazeballs as were the hosts Kiki and Don. We had a karaoke night Saturday night that was very entertaining!

I really enjoyed the yoga sessions, as I am normally a YouTube video person, getting to work in a class atmosphere is way more beneficial.

"Awesome Rustic Yoga Retreat!"

The yoga classes were challenging & fun! I like the small class & the chance to get to know everyone. Also, staying at the Night Bird Ranch was like being invited to someone’s country family home. Weekend was filled with great food, funny animals, & entertaining stories. Had a great time & would consider going again :)

"Yoga Ranch Experience"

I was looking for a relaxing experience where I could dedicate time to my yoga practice and experience the Texas ranch lifestyle. I didn't have to worry about a thing. The yoga instructor was friendly, kind, experienced, and provided excellent instructions in her classes. The owners of the ranch were always available and helpful, providing local historical knowledge; they even hung out with us (I think they enjoyed it as much as we all did!). There was always plenty of food and snacks for us, as well as things we could do in the area if we wanted to go off ranch. The ranch was very clean, comfortable and quiet (except for the occasional mooing in the distance). I truly had a most memorable experience.

"A joyful Texan yoga experience!!!"

This was a totally phenomenal experience. Firstly, this retreat was unlike any other that I looked at - it was truly a Texan experience, complete with star gazing over an open fire, donkeys, farm dogs, tex-mex, and horses that wanted to be your best friend. Nightbird Ranch was so quaint and lovely - and their rag tag group of rescue farm animals were sweet and made the experience feel so wholesome and authentic. Getting to know the ranch owners and hearing about their motivations and passions made the experience feel so personal as well. The food was perfect - it was great to have the option to eat healthy and fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains as well as dig in to some good Texan classics such as biscuits & gravy and tex-mex. The ranch owners were very conscientious of people's dietary needs. The yoga instructor was knowledgable in her craft and radiated acceptance and compassion towards her students. She met everyone where they were at and made adjustments to the practice for it to best suit them. The quality of this retreat was so deeply personal in every element, and the size of the retreat (about 8 people) was perfect, and I think it could even grow up to 14 people and still feel very personal. Thank you for such a great retreat.
