Horace Usry is co-founder and co-director of the Nexus Institute for Yoga & Wellness. Horace had a previous career in investment banking. However, his love for yoga and personal development trumped his desire to finance and operate additional businesses. He is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher, Nosara yoga educator, and yoga guide. Horace's teaching is influenced by his Shamanic studies in Peru. With gentle humor and a deep understanding of humanity, Horace has assisted hundreds of students in achieving teacher certification at both the 200-hour and 500-hour levels.

Physical environment was superb, but most of all it was the instructors who made the experience. Horace and Janel shared their authentic selves and their passion and dedication to yoga and the healing it brings.

"An incredible experience"
The whole experience was fantastic.
Horace and Janel have created a wonderful place of sharing and compassion that allowed growth and transformation in the most warm and harmonious environment.
I felt very lucky to have such caring, fun and professional teachers who shared their wealth of knowledge and home with all of us for 3 weeks.
The days were long, but I felt the schedule was so well structured, that I always had energy and was excited for each and every class. The delicious and healthy food also kept us on track!
Aside from the actual program, which I cant speak highly enough of, the Nexus Institute is also in one of the most beautiful places in the world. It's hidden away in lush jungle, but only moments away from the glorious expanse of Guiones beach, with it's tidepools, perfect waves and magical sunsets.
I look forward to returning for further trainings in the future.
