February is marked by two major events: Valentine’s Day and the Carnival. It is also the dead of winter in Europe, featuring cold weather, winter sales, and deals on travel. No matter why you decide to travel in February, there are plenty of places to celebrate love, whether you prefer a colder or warmer climate.

But what if you want to go on a yoga retreat? Once again, we have looked at our data and have chosen three of the most popular destinations among our customers.

If you plan to do some wildlife spotting during your trip to Sri Lanka, February is a good time to do so. Uda Walawe and Wilpattu National Parks are a great choice to see the animals as they gather around water holes. And Yala National Park is great to spot leopards.

When it comes to choosing a yoga retreat in Sri Lanka, there are quite a lot of options. Whether you want to combine it with surf or meditation, you won’t be disappointed. Weligama is a popular choice if you want to spend time on the beach during your retreat.

February is a great month to visit Sri Lanka. The south and west coast are blessed with high temperatures and plenty of sunshine, while the rainfall is minimal. On the north and eastern coasts, the monsoon is ending, with less rainfall than in the previous month.

The average high temperature in Colombo is 30C/86F, while in Kandy the average temperature is 24C/75F.

Theme Parks and Yoga Retreats in Florida, USA

Without a doubt, Florida is all about beach time. And if you are sick and tired of the cold winter, February offers the perfect excuse to head to a warmer winter destination. Siesta Kay is amazing for a couple getaway – after all, no one should ignore Valentine’s Day -, while Orlando is definitely “the happiest place on earth”. There are a lot of theme parks to choose from in Orlando so everyone will be pleased.

If you have a yoga retreat in Florida in mind, there are a lot of choices for you. Many retreats combine yoga with meditation and wellness, but you can also try a sailing yoga holiday or even try yoga with horses.

February is one of the best months to visit Florida. Technically it’s “winter” but the weather is warm, dry, and sunny. Rain is almost unheard of during this month.  The state is famous for the beach weather and February is just perfect as the temperatures aren’t scorching hot. Expect an average high of 25.6C/78F in Miami, 24.4C/76F in Key West, and 22.8C/73F in Orlando.

There are plenty of things to do in France even in the dead of winter.  Weather in Europe is not exactly warm in February, but France is magical anytime. If you fancy the snow resorts, then the Pyrenes and the Alps are a great choice as they get plenty of snow. And the Mediterranean area is quite pleasant now. Or perhaps you want to celebrate your love in Paris?

Speaking of Paris, there are a lot more things to do than just romantic dates in the City of Love. Take advantage of the February sales and revamp that wardrobe with some French style. Especially if it has been snowing, you’ll have plenty of charming photo opportunities. And don’t forget to check out the local markets and have some crepes while at it.

If you have a yoga retreat in France in mind, you have a lot of interesting choices. You can choose to practice yoga and ski at Chamonix or try snowshoeing during a yoga holiday. Or perhaps you prefer forest walking or combining yoga with cycling or meditation.

The weather is generally cold, rainy – sometimes snowy – and varies from region to region. Paris sees an average of 3C/37.4F but it’s warmer in Bordeaux, which enjoys an average of 11C/52F, while Nice sees 8C/46.4F. Therefore, pack layers and if you head to the snow resorts, don’t forget your thermal undergarments.
