With 100,000 miles (160,000 km) of blood vessels, a heart that produces enough energy in a day to power a truck for 20 miles (32 km) and 25 million new cells being born each second, the human body truly is brilliant.

No machine on Earth can ever hope to come any close to our body’s complexity. Furthermore, our body has the power to heal itself. To help you unleash your true powers, I wish to share this simple healing sequence taken from my own personal yoga teacher training experience.

What exactly do I mean by healing? Healing is all about letting go of things you don’t need anymore. The mind is what stores and holds on to all of these things, it projects these holding patterns into the body and that is why we get sick and experience pain and imbalance in our life.

I always tell my students that if they want to be great yoga teachers they should be clear and simple about what and why they are sharing.

When you communicate with clarity and simplicity, people will enjoy your classes. Through what you manage to transmit to your students, you can help them connect with their body and breath, and ultimately with their own healing powers.

Healing is a natural weapon we all hold deep within ourselves. That’s right, your body can heal itself. This is a natural process that occurs when you are present and connected to your body, breath, and heart. No need to complicate things any further than this, so simply give your students the opportunity to:

1. Move and hold yoga postures.
2. Feel into their body here and now. This is called ‘awareness practice’.
3. Breathe and connect with their heart.

Then their energy will flow. The mental-emotional-energetic blocks will release and clear. That is healing! That is very powerful.

Moving forward, I wish to share with you a healing yoga sequence I usually practice in the morning that I find simple and healing.

I call it my Yin Yang Sequence, even though it is more Yin Yoga. Give it a try and see how you feel!
