You will be staying at Hale Akua Garden Farm. This estate is situated on majestic cliffs with ocean views and waterfalls. It has lush gardens, an organic farm, a hot tub, sauna, and swimming pool. You will be accommodated in private or shared double rooms.
Dawn and Swami Divyananda will be co-teaching the yoga during this glorious retreat. Divyananda is a sparkling teacher who has dedicated her life to yoga as taught by her guru Swami Satchidananda. You will be doing two yoga classes daily and then going on outdoor adventures to secret Maui destinations by our local hostess. The activities may include walking in a bamboo forest, swimming in secret pools, visiting the best beaches, poetry readings with music, visiting sacred Hawaiian sites, walking in charming towns, and other adventures. You will also receive an introduction to organic gardening and permaculture class.
Swami Divyananda is a senior yoga teacher, teaching yoga for over three decades.
Dawn Summers became a teacher in 1985 through Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga. She became certified again in 1992, successfully completing a two-year teachers training program by Gary Kraftsow in the Viniyoga tradition of Krishnamacharya and his son. In 2001, she was the first to be certified at the most advanced level through American Viniyoga Institute, as a yoga therapist. She is also certified by the Arthritis Association to teach the exercise classes for people with arthritis in the program of all-inclusive care for the elderly.

Three meals daily are included in this package. The retreat starts with dinner on Wednesday night.
From the Kahului airport, go past Kmart and turn left on Highway 36- Hana Haighway.
You will be staying on Hana Highway the entire time, around 17 miles.
Go thru the town of Paia. From the stoplight in Paia (on the Hana Highway), it is approximately 14 miles to Door of Faith Road. (You may want to stop in town to pick up groceries at Mana Foods, or get something to eat before you come here the first time.)
Pass the intersection of Hana Highway and highway 365.
After Highway 365, mile markers start over again at zero.
After Highway 365 intersection, continue on and look for mile marker 3.
After mile marker 3, you will see on the left a row of white utility boxes and a sign for Waipio Road. Continue on the highway. Soon after that, you will soon see on the right mile marker 3.5.
The next road on your left (not a chained driveway) is Door of Faith Road (this is the retreat center's road).
On the left of the road, you will see a green bus shelter set back from the road. On your right Mirror Door of Faith, you will see two rows of mailboxes and a phone booth.
Turn left here and continue down the road until paved road ends.
Look for a round mirror on a pole where pavement ends.
Turn left at the mirror and go about a 0,25 mile.
On your right, you will see a wooden sign with the number 100 painted in green.
After number 100 sign, the retreat center is the next driveway on the right.
At the driveway you will see the sign that says “Hale Akua Garden Farm & Launa I’o Eco – Education center”.HAGF plaque
Turn right into the gravel driveway and go straight all the way down to the parking lot.
In the parking lot on your right you will see a green building with “Office” sign.
Come up to the office and look at the bulletin board at the entrance on your right for instructions on how to reach the manager or find instructions for your group.
Please book you flight to arrive at Kahului Airport (OGG), Maui, Hawaii. Airport pickup on Wednesday between 1 and 5 pm and return to airport on Monday after 11 am (or later as needed).
