My husband & I stayed at Nesa for a few days to start the holiday. We arrived late but the staff were ready for us. There is always someone at the front desk 24/7.

Everyone is super friendly & helpful & keen to give some tips on the local places to visit. Julian deserves a special mention for friendliness!

Location is perfect. 2 minute walk to the beach. Quiet & close to decent restaurants & local shops.

Room is spacious. Comfortable beds. Aircon works well. Had to move rooms after the first night due to a leak in the roof but it wasn't a problem. Staff were on it quickly.

Bath & shower towels are given as needed. Could do with a bit of bleach though, as they looked dirty even though clean.

Swimming pool is amazing!!! Cooler than the ocean for a dip.

Breakfast was ok. Selection of pancakes, fruit, American or Indonesian. Free water comes with it which was appreciated.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for affordable accommodation that is central!

Thank you to all the staff at Nesa Sanur for a great start to our honeymoon!

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a ball.

Although it is right in the middle of town, it is set back from the main street so traffic noise is virtually nothing. The walkway to the beach is across the road, about a 200m walk and you are in the water. There are heaps of dining options within 100m ranging from budget to top of the range.

The pool area is beautiful and the free tea and coffee available in the outdoor lounge area is very welcome. The fact the fridge in the room is empty means drink catering is easy and cheaper than the minibar option. There is a 7/11 type shop almost next door that sells cheap Bintang and anything else you need. The staff became like friends to us and looked after us whenever they could. We will be back for sure.

My wife and I recently spent 9 nights at the Nesa after also having stayed there in 2015. One of the main negatives last year which made us think long and hard about staying again was the unreliable and sometimes non existent hot water. However, I'm pleased to say that we didn't experience any problems this time. We were advised by the manager that an additional hot water service has been installed.

All in all a good hotel and we will no doubt choose it again next year. It is centrally located a few minutes walk to Hardy's and an easy 10 minute walk to the beach accessible via a laneway which goes to the Pariagata Hotel ( turn right as you get to the main street from the Nesa and walk down about 100 metres on the left)

There are also lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

The rooms are clean and well appointed with fridge, safety deposit box, comfy beds, flat screen TV, and nice bathroom with a rain and hand held shower. There was also a table and two chairs at the front balcony area. Our room rate included breakfast which was taken at Mades restaurant in the main street at the front of the hotel. There were a few choices of a menu including bacon , Mushrooms, egg and tomato/Pancake/Nasi Goreng and toast. Although nothing to write home about it was ok.

There is a nice pool with only 4 lounges - rarely couldn't we get one which was surprising..

    - the curtains ( as I pointed out last year) are not "block out" which lets a lot of light in in the mornings; not conducive to a good sleep in. We had to hang towels etc over the window each night to try and block out some of the light.

    - there is no where to hand wet towels, bathers etc. It would be handy if a small clothes rack could be provided.

    - there is no tea or coffee making facility in the room. However, this wasn't a real concern as free tea and coffee was always available in the covered reading/rest area adjacent to the pool.

Would we stay there again a third time. Yes without a doubt.

I stayed here at Nesa for 2 nights, the hotel is very well kept and clean, the pool is very nice to have a swim, towels are provided. location is great on the main road in Sanur, close to all shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel is situated down a driveway back from the road, so there is no noise from traffic. Rooms are very tidy and beds comfortable. Staff are very helpful and speak a good level of English. I would stay here again. stayed August 2016

We visited for 5 nights and stayed in Bale Delod which was lovely. Private, with two outdoor sitting areas to choose from. Very clean, excellent locatio, sufficient breakfast and friendly staff. Driver used for airport transfer was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. Would definitely recommend Cafe Smorgas for breakfast and a MUST visit to Mona Lisa Cafe for dinner whilst visiting Sanur.

I enjoyed my stay here, and would return again for the location & price. I felt safe when walking alone in the area. NESA is located within walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants, and several markets. (I recommend heading to the markets early for good deals!) The room was cleaned daily, water bottles replenished, and the entire property feels like a haven off the busy street. The pool is beautiful, but head to the beach if you want sun all day as the beautiful fauna causes shade over the chairs. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly. There was a small mix up, as both my friend and I thought breakfast was included with our rate, so clarify the terms on your booking because the communication between the hotel & the warung where breakfast is served was confusing. Even so, there are plenty of places in the area to find food.

This is a great little boutique-style hotel in a good area of Sanur. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating - they really shine. The pool area is perfect, there is a small covered sitting area with a little library if you don't want to sit on your own porch or balcony and overall I would recommend it. I was originally in one of the larger rooms, which are great but a little dark so I moved to room 201 which was upstairs and much lighter, so good if you want a sunny room but a little noisy because it overlooks the entrance and carpark and and adjoining lane-way. Not OVER the top noisy, just not the quietest. In retrospect, I wish I had stayed in the larger darker room because it would have been much quieter! My bad. Also the wifi is free but a little slow and the shower was a bit temperamental but was still ok. I think it's a solid 3-3.5 star and would suit most people looking to stick to under $100 a night.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Nesa when we first came to Bali for 3 nights. We where welcomed, to a nice, little cozy hotel, that looks really new, with good facilities. Very clean and good. We then traveled on to Come back for our last night before we were supposed to travel back home. The hotel had an very good English speaking young man, who worked in the lobby to drop us to the airport in one of the hotels cars. Unfortunately we were one day early, and couldn't not get in, and we didn't know what to do. We called back the hotel, and got hold of the driver. Her helped us to get back, so he arranged transport back to Sanur, booked us a hotel room for the night at No cost. I have never experienced service like that from a young man. He Even lent us money for the cab drive because his car was full for the drive back to Sanur.

I Will recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes to experience Sanur.!

The location of Nesa Sanur is very convenient. There are so many restaurants, shops, and even a grocery store a short walk away. The beach is also very close, it was just a little hard to find on our first day. The hotel was ideal with basic but clean rooms and the pool area was nicely designed. It was on the small side, but never crowded so we had no problem enjoying it. I think it's a good, affordable option if staying in Sanur.

I loved my stay at Nesa we were stuck for a extra 10 days due to the volcano activity. And they had no problems in extending our stay at such short notice.I think for the price this place is fantastic. It is really clean, small but great pool, central location. Yeah sure there is nowhere to put excess toiletries but thats not worth overlooking all the other qualities Nesa has to offer. Eva who works upstairs in the kitchen was the highlight of our trip to Bali. As I had 2 teenage daughters she would spend time making them drinks and chatting to them all the time - they loved her.

The Nesa Sanur is rated 3 star according to our travel agent. As a 3 star hotel it stands out as excellent. It's a small hotel, well located in a quiet location, and this suits us perfectly. The staff are without exception efficient, friendly, and very helpful. The Manager Wayan, goes beyond the expectations we have of a good manager and he is well supported by a wonderful young staff, particularly his deputy Butu. There is a pleasant small bar upstairs which is operated by Eva who we found to be always efficient, friendly, and a wonderful hostess. As a family we started in standard rooms but Wayan managed to move us into a family bungalow. Both the standard rooms and the bungalow were very comfortable. The standard rooms are adequately sized, and are not small. Air conditioning and en suite bathrooms come as standard. The rooms are cleaned daily and the cleaning staff performed their tasks faultlessly. The swimming pool is well maintained and is of a good size for this hotel (small crowded pools we avoid). We used the pool a lot. We stayed for almost 2 weeks so we are in a good position to know how well all staff did their jobs. The buildings and amenities are in a good state of repair. Nesa Sanur hotel is located very close to many restaurants, a good sized western style supermarket, pharmacies, ATM's and banks. Free WiFi is included. The beach is a short walk. As a 3 Star Hotel the Nesa Sanur is up there as one of the best. Recommended - we will be back.

I picked this Hotel on its reviews & I can only agree. From the Management to the cleaners all gave the most exemplary service, a credit to themselves and their Island. My room, Bali Dangin, was terrific. The location is about the best you can get in Sanur, close to everything. But it's a quiet spot when you walk up the Gang to the Hotel. In countless trips to Bali this is in the top 3 places I've stayed. I'll be back....

On arrival we were greeted by the friendliest staff who gave us the most awesome welcoming drink! The staff is always dressed neatly and make small talk to all that stay in Nesa which is always nice.Cute bar with a great bartender. Beautiful swimming pool that is maintained to perfection. We had some trouble with our A/c but they sorted it within the hour. Nice bathroom with a spacious shower. tv, mini fridge, balcony to chill on also very nice. Wifi also working well. The breakfast is quite small if you are a breakfast lover - One of the "Options" that you can have on the menu is: 2 slices of toast, so don't expect a big meal.I will definitely recommend this hotel to others. And hope to visit in the near future again. All and all a great experience!

Apart from an initial mix-up with airport pick-ups, my stay at Nesa Sanur was fabulous. Being a single traveler and due to the hotel being small, it was easy to meet other guests. The staff, especially Putu, was great - so friendly and helpful - nothing was every too much trouble. The pool was gorgeous and I enjoyed most afternoons there reading my book. The rooms had everything you could want - spacious, clean and air conditioned. They also have free wifi which was a bonus. Best of all was the location. A short walk to dozens of restaurants, shops and, of course, the beach. Nesa also helped organised drivers and were able to provide me with a motor scooter during my stay. All in all - I'll be back!

This hotel is located on the main street in Sanur, but its set far enough away from the busy road that you forget about the touristy areas! It's so serene and beautiful, especially the bales around the pool. It's only a 5 minute walk to beach (just cross the road to the right and follow the path). There's so many great restaurants nearby including a very affordable warung out in front of the hotel. We stayed in a bale and it was spacious and very clean. The A/C works great so our room always felt refreshing and cool! Wonderful in every way!The staff are so friendly and helpful as well! They really make the stay even better.

Stayed for a week in May 2015. It's a cozy little hotel located a 5 minutes walk away from Hardy's supermarket in Sanur. Plenty of restaurants of all kinds and budgets within walking distance. The room was recently appointed and the attached bathroom was neat and functional. A wardrobe, TV and side tables complete the furniture. Housekeeping is competent and keeps the room neat. The staff is quite courteous, friendly and helpful. There is a small swimming pool in the middle of the hotel with a kids section. This is not the lap of luxury but a neat, functional base for planning your Bali trips. The Sanur beach is 10 minutes walk but was not really usable as there seems to be some sort of weeds/mangrove/plants in the sea. Not really swimmable. The beach is also small and during high tide kind of gets swallowed. A nice promenade along the beach though.

My wife, my adult son and I plus a couple of friends stayed at the Nesa for 8 nights over the New Year. We found the hotel early in 2015 and had sighted it and paid for the Xmas holiday immediately. The size of the hotel is small but the hospitality is huge. The staff, management team and owners are very upbeat positive people and it flows on to your stay. Great value for money. We had poolside rooms and they were clean and well-appointed within the constraints of what you are charged, for the room. The hotel may be 3 star but the feel is 5 star. You just don't get the personal interaction at the big hotels (of course there are exceptions with individuals at the big hotels). The pool is clean, gardens well-kept and a nice bar above the lobby to kick back. The size and layout was perfect for our group. In central Sanur with ample dining options available and Hardy's just 200 metres away, the location is very good. Easy access to the beach over the road and down the Parrigata laneway.Breakfast at Mades Kitchen, as others have said is basic but good enough to get you started, but Mades has a good menu for daytime and evening dining and I found the basics during the day very good (Satay sticks/ Squid/ Nasi Goreng served to your room.If Breakfast is too basic, Grocer and Grind is only 25 metres away, south and is superb. There was a noticeable lack of small children due to the room configurations, which made for a peaceful stay!Couples and singles of many nationalities just having a relaxing time (perfect). The New Years Party was a blast, the staff and management were buzzing and so were the guests, a great night/morning had by all. Well organised by Andi and his team.Nothing was too much effort for the staff and management. We will be back!

Highly recommend NESA to all travelers after a true Bali experience.Friendly & well informed Staff who all provide Exceptional Service. Amenities are sufficient for the rating. Rack Dryers are required and need to be added for neatness and effectiveness of drying swimmers and towels. Maybe more pool towels could be made available to guests also. Special mentions need to go to Manager Wayan, Butu, & Effa in the bar who are all amazing people who we really got to know quite well over our 12 day stay.Effa especially went beyond to exceed all my expectations!!Next stay in Sanur is NESA for sure!! Can't wait. See u all very soon.

My family of 5 spent 11 days at the Nesa Sanur. From the time we arrived to the time we left we experienced real Balinese hospitality and enjoyed our stay immensely. The hotel is Balinese owned and run. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi, which is surprisingly fast. Manager Wayan and his assistant Butu, treated us like family and nothing was too much trouble. There was always a friendly smile from all the lovely staff. We were all smitten by the lovely Eva at the bar! I understand that the breakfast may not meet the standards of some people, but guests should bear in mind that it is complimentary. The menu is limited but adequate. If it doesn't suit there are any number of warangs in the vicinity. In fact, the hotel is nestled in a quiet spot right off the main strip. Some great shops and restaurants are a very short walk away. The Hardy's store is literally a 5min walk away. The whole family is already planning to come back in 2016.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Clean rooms, friendly staff and a good pool. The location could not be better, in the main street close to the supermarket "Hardys" (3 minutes' walk). If you go right from the entrance instead of left to the main road there is a great little warung (20 seconds' walk). For this price I highly doubt if there is something better in Sanur. Will definitely return.
