  • Evaluating the path of yoga
  • Wanting to deepen their personal yoga practice
  • Planning to apply for 200 hours yoga teacher training in the near future

After this 100-hour yoga teacher training course, you will have a firm understanding of the energetic (pranic) body and its relation to the rest of the body systems in order to obtain balance with the help of yoga. Neo Yoga’s 100-hour yoga teacher training is in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow. From the asana postures to yoga philosophy, the teachers are supportive.

Hatha yoga

Hatha yoga is considered the traditional Indian yoga style. Many old and contemporary styles are based on Hatha yoga. This style tends to be slower-paced and with varying sequences. The practice of Hatha yoga balances the sun and moon energy within the body and transforms the lower chakra energies to higher levels. In Hatha should be practiced with awareness, respecting the body's limitations. A correct alignment will be taught in the class.

Vinyasa Flow yoga

Vinyasa Flow is a more fast-paced yoga style of movement with synchronized breathing. This style is sometimes also called Flow yoga because of the smooth way that the poses run together, becoming something like a dance. Vinyasa Flow derives from the Ashtanga yoga as taught in the K. Pattabi Jois tradition, but there is more flow in Vinyasa.

In a Vinyasa Flow class, the teacher is free to combine various asanas to create the flow, and sometimes challenging postures are introduced. Vinyasa Flow is fun and upbeat, and has lots of variations possible within it, enabling each teacher to improvise and experiment.

Retreat location

Upmarket Mandrem is known for its two quiet beaches, home to tucked-away cafes, yoga retreats, and resort hotels. Mandrem Beach offers high-end accommodation in a secluded setting, while indie boutiques at Ashwem Beach sell designer fashion and jewelry.

Both beaches have casual shacks serving seafood and western fare, while a handful of high-end spots on Mandrem Beach also offer Italian, French, and global cuisine. Mandrem is a coastal village famous as a tourist spot in Pernem taluka in North Goa district of Goa state in India. It is 21 kilometers from the capital Panaji.

Goa itself has an amazing multicultural history. All nationalities live here, life here is different from the rest of India. Mandrem Beach has been voted as one of the cleanest beaches in Asia. Mandrem has a good balance of nightlife and yogic vibes.

Over the last few years Goa might have developed a reputation of the party capital of India, however, Goa has still many undiscovered beaches and untouched nature waiting to be discovered for yogis. It is only a 90 minutes drive from the airport. Expect to be on a journey of joy, bliss, and transformation.

Food

Oceanic yoga provides buffet-style, vegetarian cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, giving importance to health and hygiene and making sure that fresh fruits, vegetables, and other local ingredients are used. At Neo Yoga, the emphasis is on a healthy and sattvic diet.

The Oasis Residency restaurant offers lovely views of the beach and a good menu. However, it is right next to a bar which plays psytrance music very loud over the weekend. Get there early if you want to beat the noise and admire the views. The prices are quite high but that's the price you pay for eating on the beachfront. The restaurant has a good choice of food and the staff is all very helpful. A good place to go whilst in Goa.
