Explore Mayan and colonial culture of Mexico on this boutique yoga retreat filled with inspiring yoga sessions, meditation, and delicious healthy food intended to invoke curiosity and spark joy! Feed your adventurous spirit, dance on the streets of Merida, swim in hidden caves, explore ancient Mayan ruins, and stroll around in colonial charm. This retreat allows you to discover new possibilities, let go of every day stresses, and reconnect to your inner joy.
During this retreat, you will be staying in a colonial style boutique hotel in the center of the city, close to several of Merida’s most interesting sights. With a beautiful courtyard swimming pool and in-house spa services, it is a perfect place for you to unwind and relax.
During this retreat, you will be guided through morning meditation and yoga classes in the courtyard of the colonial hacienda. You will start the day with your yoga asana and pranayama (yogic breathing) class. Whether you are an experienced yoga practitioner or blossoming into your practice, you will learn to move with awareness, strength, and balance.
Your two daily yoga asana classes will be catered to your specific body needs, with focus on strengthening and calming the body and mind, and reconnecting to your inner happiness.

Andrea (Amrita) Clark
Andrea Clark is a registered yoga teacher who has plenty experience acquired during exotic retreats around the world about raw detoxes, asana, meditation, pranayama, and mat Pilates. Andrea currently teaches at Nectar Yoga on Bowen Island and her teaching style is an infusion of mindful alignment and intentional breath.
Mirella is a health chef and food coach with a background in Ayurvedic nutrition. She combines the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with modern nutrition and practical lifestyle tips to help people realign to their true nature. She's also a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher.
This retreat will take place in Merida, Mexico. Merida is located in the middle of the Yucatan Peninsula, hailed as the safest city in Mexico. It is a convenient place to explore some of Yucatan’s best cultural and natural wonders, like ancient Mayan temples and hidden freshwater caves.
Merida is a wonderful city to explore on foot in your free time. It's perfectly safe to go on the streets in the evening and enjoy the artist markets and live music on one of the many squares.

Merida has a rich culinary scene and some of the best food in Yucatan and beyond. There is plenty of fresh food available and, during this retreat, you will be served a delicious breakfast and dinner daily, leaving the lunches open for you to explore by yourself and try some of Merida’s finest foods (recommendations included).
Mirella will use local and organic ingredients where possible to prepare healthy Mexican style dinners and energizing morning smoothies with your breakfast. You will also learn to make some Yucatan style dishes yourself during the local cooking class and how to whip up healthy smoothies during Mirella’s smoothie workshop.
During your free time, you can explore Merida on foot. There are many interesting places around such as artists markets, museums, and archaelogical sites.
