Bali Yoga and Permaculture Retreat

Every day, at least one meal is cooked (lunch or dinner) together. You get to harvest your own organic veggies and fruits from the farm and enjoy cooking classes in how to prepare a delicious nutritionally aware organic meal.

Permaculture farming

The Good Earth farm is based on the 12 permaculture principles. You will learn about these principles and how to apply them within your lifestyle. Whether you have a garden or not, permaculture is always applicable.

During the retreat, you will visit several sights on the tropical island; from waterfalls to jungle hikes, local farms and traditional family compounds. Learn about Balinese culture and indulge yourself in the island's beauty.

Nathan Pflaum
Your host, Nathan, is a 27 year old proud owner and resident of Good Earth Farm. He is primarily an autodidact farmer with a PDC and training certificate under his belt, as well as an animal lover.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place in Naya Ubod Resort, Bali, Indonesia. Naya Ubud is situated at only a 7-minute drive from the center of Ubud, you will have quick access to Balis renowned cultural and shopping hub from Naya, but will feel far enough from the crowds and traffic to enjoy the magic and essence of rural Bali.

Naya spa is situated in a quiet corner of the garden, and is equipped with 4 massage beds for in-house traditional Balinese massages.

Inspired by each individuals divine beauty, come enjoy a holistic and rejuvenating salon experience. Services include a relaxing scalp and shoulder massage, invigorating organic hair wash, precision cut & finish by their skilled AVEDA trained hairstylist.

The Wall of Poems, Prayers and Promises

Under the spacious yoga shala is a secluded, contemplative space for reflections and inner stillness. Allow yourself to sit here for a while and see what arises within. If you then feel inspired, please write upon the wall of your poems, prayers and promises, for yourself, others or mother earth.


In harmony with local tradition, there are four temples strategically located on Nayas grounds, as instructed by Balinese priests. Naya staff conducts daily offerings to maintain the balance of peace and harmony.

Naya spa offers traditional Balinese massages for an additional fee.

How to get there

Driving directions from Jala Raya Sayan

Driving along Jalan Raya Sayan, turn at Puskesmas Ubud II, a government health clinic.

This route is also known to locals as Jalan Kadewatan 1.

Once you see a traditional Balinese temple, stay on the right, and continue straight.

The end of the road leads down to a small concrete bridge that crosses a small irrigation canal. Go down the slope, take a right hand turn and follow the rice fields until you see a sign on Nayas property, which will be on your left.
