Welcome to Namibia, the country that feeds your soul. Namibia, nicknamed the Gem of Africa, got its name from the Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world and one of the highest sand dunes in the world.
Namibia boasts remarkable natural attractions such as the Namib Desert, Etosha National Park, Skeleton Coast, Fish River Canyon Park, and the Kalahari Desert. Its majestic landscape and natural environment offers a unique flora and fauna population with an abundant variety of wildlife.
With a country as diverse as Namibia, visitors can easily find themselves overwhelmed by it all.
The vastness and beauty of the Namibian landscape is a place that is inspirational and that gets into your soul, bringing peace, stillness, and healing to your spirit. It’s something to do with the vast open spaces, the wilderness, and being out in the middle of nowhere, something you feel deep inside, a place with so much energy and magic, it needs to be experienced.
You feel at one with nature, you sense things that you never have before, life slows down, and you allow yourself to appreciate your surroundings, your being, yourself.
Traveling through Namibia awakens your emotions and senses – colors become brighter, smells more intense and you taste more appreciative. Your sixth sense finds its mystical home and above all, you feel re-connected with your soul!
Erindi Private Game Reserve is a protected reserve in central Namibia. Erindi, meaning “place of water”, is a sustainable natural wonderland. It is a custodian of the most prolific amount of endemic species and multiple conservation projects.
With more than 70,000 hectares of pristine wilderness under care, they have undertaken an immense task to pursue conservation initiatives in the name of eco-friendly tourism, whilst empowering local communities.
Swakopmund, especially out of season, can feel like a holiday town along Germany’s North Sea and Baltic coasts transplanted onto African soil. It has a laid laid-back feel to it with palm trees, good restaurants, and gift shops.
A visit to Namibia is not complete without experiencing this incredible white salt pan and the red dunes that make it so popular. After all, these monstrous dunes are some of the largest that can be found in the world, reaching heights of 400 meters. In some ways, the beauty of this area is eerie as you can almost hear whispers on the wind that softly kisses the crescents of the dunes.
What makes it so overwhelming is the knowledge that the sheer size of the dunes was created by wind over millions of years. Ever-changing and growing, the dunes remain one of the most amazing phenomena you will ever get to see.
Included in the package are all breakfasts and dinners (except in Swakopmund).
One full-body Marula massage at Gocheganas is included in the price.
