Join this retreat to enjoy yoga and meditation. You will stay at Aero City and Country club in New Delhi and the tranquil Rainforest House in Rishikesh. All accomodations are in a twin room sharing basis in all locations.
The style of yoga that will be practiced is beginner Hatha yoga and the duration of the classes (which are optional) will be 60 minutes. Members who are participating in the yoga retreat need not have any prior yoga practice as the classes are beginner level and they can also join the meditation walks as an option.
Acharya Tej has compiled the authentic teachings of yoga as practiced in India. Acharya Tej has been studying and practicing yoga for more than 25 years and received his training with the Sivananda yoga tradition in Rishikesh and Uttarkashi, India. He has served on the Yoga Alliance Advisory Committee for Best Practices of Yoga Schools. Acharya Tej formed the Namah Shivaya yoga teacher training in 2008, combining the authentic practices of Hatha yoga and the school has graduated more than 700 students in the US, India, and Mexico.
Acharya Aya Manabe
Acharya Aya Manabe is the lead trainer and director of Namah Shivaya teacher training in India and Japan. She was initiated to yogic path through Sivananda yoga tradition in California and completed her 200 and 500-hour teacher training certification in 2012. She is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher (E-RYT 200 and RYT 500) and also certified Prenatal yoga teacher. Aya has a lot of international teaching experience in different countries including US, Vietnam, India, and Japan.
The retreat will take place in Rishikesh, Agra, and New Delhi, India.
Meals and tips are not included in the price, so you will need to choose your own meals. All hotels offer delicious international cuisines and you can choose from a menu of Indian, American and Chinese dishes prepared by the fine chefs.
You can enjoy fresh juices, a large variety of south Indian dishes like dosa, uttapam, vada and idli along with sumptuous coconut chutney and sambhar. North Indian cuisine offers vegan and non vegan curries, biryani, naan breads and a variety of salads and delicious desserts. For the vegan palate, there are a variety of choices like vegan vegetable dishes in both north and south Indian options.
Ayurvedic body massage uses herbal oils given by professional Ayurvedic therapists which help remove toxins from the body and help balance the doshas. Ayurvedic consultation is also available with a certified Ayurvedic practitioner. Costs for massage and consultation are not included in the price and will have to be paid by the individual based on the treatment.
Book your flight to arrive at New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Namah Shivaya will arrange airport transfer to the hotel and all arrangements for stay. Namah Shivaya will also arrange airport transfer for departure at the end of the retreat.
