All the eco-farm buildings are ecologically designed, constructed of stone, wood or mud-brick. Each house has two rooms, a bathroom, and a spacious front porch.

Mud-brick houses

Built from hand-made mud-brick, tile, and wood these single-store houses have two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen, a living room, and a wide verandah. In the summer both the stone and mud-brick houses remain cool, in the winter they are heated with wood-burning cooking stoves.

Stone houses

Built in a traditional style using natural materials, the ground floor has one bedroom, the upper floors have two bedrooms, and they can be used as two separate apartments. Each floor has a bathroom, a kitchen, and a wide terrace.

Wooden houses

These houses have been built close to the Kargi river, where it forms one of Pastoral Vadis boundaries, and are located in the midst of shade-giving trees. There are one, and two bedroom wooden houses. Each house also has a bathroom, and a small kitchen in one corner of the verandah.

Your mornings will start with a guided meditation practice, followed by a yoga class, and a delicious freshly prepared breakfast. After the breakfast, you can enjoy free time until lunch. Pastoral Vadi farms offers plenty of opportunities for exploration, and learning. Depending on your interests, you can join to any of the daily activities on the eco-farm or simply relax, and enjoy the peacefulness of the Turkish nature.

In the afternoons, there will be different activities. On the third, and fifth day of the retreat you can take an afternoon workshop where you can explore a deeper yoga practice. The rest of the afternoons will be spent on exploring natural scenarios, hike to the surroundings, and visit one Turkish archaeological site. You will finish your retreat days the same way you started them, with yoga and meditation practices.

During this retreat you will explore local mountain paths, hike to the nearby beach, and visit archaeological sites located in the vicinity.

Pastoral Vadi is an organic farm located in Yaniklar Village near Fethiye town. Surrounded by pine forest, with a river as one of its boundaries Pastoral Vadi occupies 42,000 square meters of land in the middle of a valley. It is a secluded estate, tucked in among eucalyptus, pine, and pomegranate trees. If you have never stayed on a farm before, you will be introduced to the soil, the agricultural methods, and the crops (a timeless cycle). When you escape from the concrete environment of towns, and cities, and the high-speed lifestyle found there, you will feel relaxed as you encounter nostalgic aspects of a slower pace of life; you will also be refreshed, feel younger, and more energetic.

"This retreat was beautiful. From being welcomed and warmly cared for, from Marija and owners of the accommodation too. "

"The Retreat was located in Tara mountain surrounded with amazing nature. Morning and evening yoga and meditation practice were for the whole group of different conditions and levels. Marija is very committed, calm and great teacher with the knowledge to the smallest details. Between yoga classes every day we had a new adventure in forests around us, taking more or less beaten trails to get to some spectacular spots and views. I left very gratefully, with new experiences and friends. I hope to attend more of yogic adventures in future. :)"

"Although this has been my first yoga retreat ever, it was the best! :) The best thing I could have done for myself really. Maria is an amazing teacher, full of knowledge, so pleasant to listen to and talk to. I've learned so much in just one week and profounded my knowledge about yoga, spirituality, meditation and much more. My body felt great, my mind even better. Also, I would like to praise Maria's great organizational skills, good communication and the choice of extra daily activities (hiking, lake trip, boat ride, and other adventures. :) Thank you for everything! ps. I already scheduled my next retreat. "

"An amazing experience with a great teacher, lovely location and very nice people. I especially appreciate Marija helping me out during classes with the specific advice, needed due to my very low flexibility. I would highly recommend it to everyone and will do it again for sure!"

"None of the beautiful pictures I saw before going on this trip could truly convey of its feeling of breathing the fresh air between the trees and doing sun salutations on a misty morning, light peeking through the clouds. Nature on Tara Mountain is simply all-encompassingly beautiful. The yoga classes were all well-structured and thoughtful, a great way to get deeper into the practice. The hikes tied in nicely with that, from quite easy to a bit more advanced, always leading through stunning nature. Marija is a warm, dedicated person and teacher. I can only highly recommend this retreat."

"The yoga retreat in Tara Mountain was a wonderful experience! It was a good opportunity to go deeper in my yoga practice but also to have a break in an amazing place - wild and beautiful. The other activities, mostly hikes were really well linked with yoga and meditation. It was a good opportunity to discover a new country and landscapes and practice yoga in a piece of heaven. The yoga classes were really good: a mix of asanas, meditation and pranayama. Marija is a good teacher and she was fully dedicated to the retreat and the group. I warmly recommend this one week retreat!"

"I think the experience has been absolutely incredible. There is a wonderful mix of incredible teachers who have deepen my practice but also taught me so much about interesting things that I would never know about - from really interesting hikes in archaeological sites here in Turkey, all the way through delicious food, Sufism, and face painting. Literally, the array of the things we did was wonderful. It was a great balance of intense yoga but also enough free time to recuperate afterwards. The natural beauty of Turkey in the south was amazing; some of the views on the hikes literally took my breath away. I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s interested."

"I came on My Yogic Adventure because I wanted to get a bit fit, I wanted to have a holiday, but I also wanted to get my muscles moving again. I haven’t done yoga in a really long time and I wanted to get back into the practice. But actually what I got was so much more than my body being a little bit fitter and a little bit stronger and not being so lazy any more. What my body learned was amazing and I’ll take those principles home with me, but what my mind learned was the best part - to change the way I’ve been thinking completely and to look at things differently. I learnt a little bit of mindfulness, to sit still a little bit, and consider things objectively. I came here to have a holiday and I really feel that I am going home as a better person."

"During my two month stay in Kathmandu, I stayed at Alobar 1000 where Marija taught yoga every morning. She was an integral part of my enjoyment during this period and is a talented and clearly dedicated teacher. Prior to coming to Marija, my experience of yoga teachers was reserved to those who would quickly rush through poses and very rarely go into detail. Marija took the time to explain how one properly gets into the pose and so gain the most benefit in a way that encouraged your development and understanding. She was patient and hands on in approach, allowing for all levels to simultaneously enjoy the class independently but with her support and guidance when it was needed. She was also very willing to answer any questions that we had which is only complemented by her openness and approachability. Her shavasana at the end of the class is also something to look forward to and is particularly rewarding. A truly wonderful teacher the like of which I’ve not enjoyed since but one I highly recommend. I still enjoy what she taught me to this day and continue to develop my confidence and ability. Thank you for everything."

"Marija was my teacher in Kathmandu, Nepal. I had daily classes with her for a month. I was a beginner and was looking for a teacher with who I will feel comfortable. From my first class with Marija, I learned a lot and wasn’t shy to ask questions, she made me feel at home. During this month, my body awareness grew every day and I was going out of the classes with a big smile on my face. I look forward to have classes with Marija again, she left Kathmandu and I miss her morning classes a lot! Thanks million times for teaching me so well!"

"Marija was my teacher in Rishikesh, India. That time I was looking for a possibility to learn more about yoga, to breathe more, and to exercise… All these she gave me. It is so important to have a good feeling with your yoga teacher, to have faith in this person. And I had this with Marija. It was so good that she took us out of the ”everyday life” for two active hours and brought as close to our bodies, feelings, and breathing. I hope to join one day another course! All the best, Marija."
