STONE HOUSES

Built-in a traditional style using natural materials, the ground floor has one bedroom, the upper floors have two bedrooms and they can be used as two separate apartments. Each floor has a bathroom, a kitchen, and a wide terrace. The ground floors have been adapted to make them suitable for guests with disabilities. In the summer stone houses remain cool, in the winter they are heated with wood-burning cooking stoves. All organic waste from the houses, together with grey and black water, is recycled.

ADOBE HOUSES

Built from hand-made mud-brick, tile, and wood these single-story houses have two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a wide verandah. In the summer mud-brick houses remain cool, in the winter they are heated with wood-burning cooking stoves. All organic waste from the houses, together with grey and black water, is recycled.

WOOD HOUSES

These have been built close to the Kargı River, where it forms one of Pastoral Vadi’s boundaries, and are in the midst of shade-giving eucalyptus trees. There are one- and two-bedroomed wooden houses with each house also having a bathroom and a small kitchen in one corner of the verandah. In the wood, houses remain cool, in the winter they are heated with wood-burning stoves. All organic waste from the houses, together with grey and black water, is recycled.

All houses are for 2 persons. One person can stay by paying a 2-person price. Bungalows are for small groups of 3-4 people.

The practice

The afternoon practices will include Yoga Nidra and workshops such as handstand, back-bending, mobility, and flexibility such as shoulder and chest openings, hip openings. Yoga Nidra is a deeply profound experience of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation.

Food

Pastoral Vadi is offering healthy foods mostly from Mediterranean cuisine, which are cooked with local and traditional methods in wood-burning stoves and floor furnaces. The consumption of vegetables and fruits by preserving their nutritional value and natural taste is one of their ecologic life principles.

They primarily use the ecologic products of their garden. The products that they cannot produce are bought from the neighbours, or local producers which are doing organic or good farming practices.

Food preparation and cooking form a workshop situation for the guests and, even if you don’t want to actually help peel, chop and then cook, they are still happy to share our recipes and methods with you and vice versa.
