During this retreat, you will stay at Museflower Retreat and Spa. Rooms at Museflower are located in a cluster of cottages set in a garden facing a peaceful lake. They offer clean, comfortable, and cozy rooms that can hold up to 36 people maximum on a shared basis.
The triple, superior, and deluxe rooms all have a covered terrace where guests can sit outside and enjoy the view. All rooms are equipped with wall fans, windows with mosquito screens, a place to store clothes, and a bathroom with solar heated hot shower.
They also provide complimentary ozonized drinking water, hot water kettle, herbal tea, shampoo, and shower gel. Electronic amenities include hairdryer, plug-in mosquito repellent, and flashlight.
The standard room is equipped with two beds, one private bathroom, with beautiful custom made Northern Thai style bedside tables and a cupboard to place your belongings. It is suitable for single travelers or couples. The standard room is offered at single or double occupancy. This is a room with fan only.

Soul Food Corner is the community dining room where guests gather for family-style, buffet dining. Airy and spacious, with big windows overlooking the lake, this is a social gathering place where guests can choose join the group at a big table or choose a smaller table if you wish to sit quietly on your own in the relaxed, casual atmosphere. Along with serving three delicious lacto-ovo vegetarian meals daily, this is where the soul finds nourishment, either with physical food, games, books, or carefully selected movies.
Just like a living room at home, this is where you can either enjoy your personal space in books (a library with an assortment of books), have fun in a group to play entertaining board games, or watch movies.

The Himalayan crystal salt water swimming pool is covered and heated by a solar water system. The pool is ozonized and free of chlorine, and at a depth of 2.40 meters, it is truly a “swimming” exercise pool and not a dipping pool. Himalayan crystal salt water helps to cleanse the body while balancing the pH and maintaining the protective film of the skin.
This is a refreshment area for pool guests to sip some complimentary tea and water, or simply to relax, read, and chill.
The air-conditioned fitness gym is located above the pool so you can work up a sweat while enjoying a panoramic garden view.
Located upstairs from the pool with a peaceful forest view, you can relax here and enjoy a private space to draw, paint, create relaxing color mandalas or anything you wish to express your creative spirit.
It sells a variety of aromatherapy and herbal products, Himalayan crystal salt and salt lamps, books, apparel, and CDs. It sources local brands that offer high-quality products as much as possible.
Room facilities: the indoor activity room is 76 square meters large and is equipped with projector and screen, stereo system, ceiling fans, yoga mats, chairs, and tables if needed. The room can fit about 20 mats, 50 people sitting in a theater setting, and 30 people with tables.
There is plenty of outdoor space for events with more people. Function room rental: the Butterfly Room can be rented for teachers or practitioners who want to hold their own retreats or meetings there. The rental rates go for hourly (minimum 2 hours), half day (5 hours), full day, or weekly basis.
Movie screenings: movie nights also take place in the Butterfly Room, as part of the workshop program or entertainment in the evenings. The Butterfly Room is named with the inspiration of the symbol of a butterfly - the transformation from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly.
Situated by the lakeside facing the organic farm, the meditation pavilion is specially designed and built in a hexagonal shape with wood and a high ceiling. This space is equipped with a stereo system that can be connected to your laptop or phone, wall fans, yoga mats, tables, and chairs.
Essentially the heart of the retreat and spa center, this is an ideal sacred space for meditation, sound therapies, and passive activities such as yoga and Tai Chi. The space is 86 square meters large and can fit about a maximum of 25 mats or 36 people sitting.
The meditation pavilion is generally reserved for retreats hosted by Museflower Retreat & Spa. However, on dates that they do not hold their retreats, groups are welcome to rent this space for their workshops or retreats.
For visiting holistic practitioners, a private consultation room with or without a treatment bed at the spa can be rented at an hourly basis, so that practitioners can conduct their private sessions at a peaceful and quiet environment.
Various outdoor salas and garden chairs are scattered around the property, so you can stop and enjoy the nature and the outdoors whenever you want. You can even sleep outside if you want!
In the cool season, the lakeside outdoor fire pit becomes our outdoor living room where guests love to gather around and chat under the open sky after dinner. There is nothing cozier than socializing under the stars, with your mug of warm tea, feeding logs into the fire, and making new friends.
Aquaponics is a farming system based on the principles of permaculture, where the wastewater of fish is used to fertilize and grow vegetables, and in return, the water is purified and feeds back to the fish. So, there is no waste generated in the process. The organic kitchen garden is where they grow their own herbs and other types of vegetables.

Growing up in Phitsanulok, north of Bangkok, Watchararat (nickname “A”) has begun her spa therapist career 10 years ago. She became a certified yoga teacher since 2008 and is also trained in Tai Chi, Qigong, Reiki, and crystal balancing. Khun A believes that everyone can self-heal; all you need to do is connect to the universe’s energy and awaken your own inner healing potential within.
Born in Udon Thani, Thailand, Khun Jang has been working in the spa industry for more than 15 years. She started out as a spa therapist and transitioned into a yoga and fitness instructor and later spa trainer in various five-star resorts, locally and overseas. She has consistently been the top most requested spa practitioner wherever she goes. She believes that when the physical body is healthy, everything will flow.
The tranquil retreat is nestled in a gentle wooded area surrounded by scenic lakes and lush rice fields, 17 kilometers from Chiang Rai town. Museflower Retreat and Spa offers family style buffet meals so that guests can choose to eat as much or as little as they want. The philosophy is “simple is bliss, bliss is simple”, so overall portion sizes and meals are light and simple, filled with lots of colors and flavors.
The breakfast and dinner buffets offer simpler dishes to keep you feeling light, while lunch is focused as the main meal of the day with more variety of dishes. They keep dinner light intentionally so your body can digest the food easier, feel lighter, and sleep better.
At Museflower, they offer authentic Thai and Asian cuisine with local ingredients that you may not have experienced before. It is like a home-cooked meal with a gentler and mildly spicy taste, seasoned with love and soul prepared by the Thai kitchen team.
With the healthy Asian dining focus, they do not offer western staples or additives like bread, pastry, beans, lentils, cheese, coffee, alcohol, white sugar, protein shakes, green smoothies, and imported superfood products.
In Asian vegetarian cooking, they use tofu, soybeans, green peas and beans, oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, and broccoli as main protein sources. They also offer locally grown organic spirulina powder, a high source of iron and protein, to add to your drinks complimentary as part of the buffet.
8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: oatmeal, one Asian hot dish (congee, boiled rice, noodle or soup), kefir, non-dairy milk such as almond or rice milk, fresh fruit and muesli, one glass of fresh juice, herbal tea, and additional egg dish to order (no limit). Coffee and bread are not served.
12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: green salad, hot dishes such as curry, stir-fried vegetable, omelet etc., local dessert, and herbal tea.
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: hot soup, simple hot dish, steam vegetable with dip, and herbal tea.
They offer special smoothies and fresh fruit juices, premium organic teas, and homemade chips and snacks throughout the day for guests to enjoy at extra cost. The menu is available in Soul Food Corner and the pool lounge. Orders can be taken from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, or order in advance.
Besides lacto-ovo vegetarian food, they are able to provide vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free options for guests. Please notify upon reservation so they can prepare for you accordingly. If you have specific foods or supplements that you need for your diet or for health reasons, please do bring them with you in case you cannot find these items in Chiang Rai. You may store your food items in the community fridge in the Soul Food Corner. Please note that coffee and alcohol are not allowed in this fridge.
From Museflower Retreat and Spa, you can easily visit some of Chiang Rai’s attractions as well as art, cultural, natural, and adventure spots. The reception team will be happy to assist with recommending suitable Chiang Rai attractions, booking tours and cars, and making sure everything is organized and complements with your retreat stay.
The estate of renowned Thai national artist Thawan Duchanee consisting of black Lanna style buildings can be visited by appointment and is a fascinating museum of the contemporary artist’s extraordinary collections of sculptures and Southeast Asian artifacts.
A fun place to shop and browse for endless ethnic handicrafts, handmade gifts, souvenirs, clothes, snacks, and foodstuffs, along with numerous bars and restaurants, two food courts, and free cultural entertainment every night.
Doi Chaang coffee, one of Chiang Rai’s famous coffee chains, runs its coffee academy and operates its coffee plantation and factory on the top of the mountain. Every winter, the coffee academy offers barista courses which are filled up very quickly. Macadamia nut farms and small resorts can also be seen along the top of the mountain. Below the mountain is the famous Mae Suai Dam, where local tourists can jet ski or hop on banana boats in the reservoir, or dine at the restaurant on top of the dam.

There are many different hill tribe villages around the where visitors can see the Akha, Lisu, Lahu, and famous Karen Long-Neck tribes and learn about their traditional way of life, as well as hill tribe handicrafts centers where you can buy souvenirs such as their exquisite embroidery and textiles.
This is the intersection where the three borders of Thailand, Laos, and Burma meet, and the area was once famed for its opium production, hence the “Golden Triangle” moniker. Nowadays, it’s a junction where you can find local markets selling northern handicrafts, clothing, novelties, and souvenirs, as well as river rides up and down the Mekong.
Praised by many as one of the best museums in Thailand, this museum was created by the government to educate people about the history and dangers of opium, as part of the battle to eradicate opium production in the Golden Triangle. Boat rides along the Kok River are another fun and popular way to see the lush local landscape and visit some hill tribe villages, an elephant camp, or hot spring along the way.
This is an agro-tourism attraction owned by Thailand’s biggest beer producer. Besides a popular shuttle tour around the farm, the park also offers a restaurant nested on the top of a small hill, a cafe and gift shop by the entrance, and a wide lawn area for taking photos.

One of the most spectacular temples in Thailand, this entirely white contemporary temple designed by national artist Chalemchai Kositpipat is an extravagant, fantasy vision of the artists’ vision of Buddhist heaven, hell, and nirvana. The majestic golden building that houses the public restrooms is just as beautiful as the rest of the temple, and there is a little market selling souvenirs and coffee next door. This beautiful temple is famed for housing the sacred Emerald Buddha in the 14th century and now houses a replica of the original that is now enshrined in the Grand Palace in Bangkok. The temple’s lovely grounds includes an excellent museum of beautiful Buddhist artifacts.

Please book your flight to arrive at Chiang Rai International Airport (CEI). Transfer from and to the airport is included. The Museflower Retreat and Spa will pick you up from the airport.
You can also hire an airport taxi by the airport, the journey will take about 35 to 40 minutes to arrive at Museflower Retreat and Spa.
If you are taking the bus, the new bus terminal 2 is about 20 kilometers from the retreat center. Also, bus terminal 2 is the first bus stop after the bus passes by the White Temple area. It is recommended for you to alight at bus terminal 2, as it is easier for the cars to park there. Normally, a bus ride would take about 2.5 to 3 hours from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.
Moreover, the bus terminal 1 is located inside Chiang Rai town by the night bazaar area. It is recommended that you purchase your bus ticket in advance to avoid waiting at the bus station, you may visit Green Bus Thailand website for more information. Transfer from and to the bus terminal is included, make sure to inform Museflower Retreat and Spa during your reservation.
