Join Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage's retreat in one of the most beautiful place on earth: the floating prawan rafthouse at Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand. Imagine waking up to the sound of the gibbons and birds, then going for a kayak ride to the other side to greet the monkeys and the awakening jungle, then back to meditation and yoga practice on the floating yoga shala.
During this retreat, you will be staying at Jungle Yoga in one of their simple but beautiful floating bamboo huts. The package included one single accommodation but twin use is also available when preferred.
The program will consist of daily six hours Thai yoga massage instructions and practices for beginner and advanced level. In the morning, there will also be yoga and meditation sessions. The quiet environment is ideal to study this healing art in a focused, relaxed, and un-distracted way. The quiet evenings are usually spent relaxing or talking, chanting, or stargazing.
Thai massage, or Nuad Boraen, or traditional Thai massage, or Thai yoga massage, is a unique and powerful healing art that has been an integral part of traditional Thai medicine for thousands of years. Thai yoga massage is a truly wonderful experience for both giver and receiver as energy blockages are released, boundaries dissolve and deep healing occurs in a space of presence and meditation. In a unique way, Thai massage blends elements of acupressure, yoga, reflexology, physiotherapy, meditation, energy healing, and Ayurveda.
Thai massage can improve posture, breathing, flexibility, digestion, and circulation by freeing the flow of vital energy in the body. The muscles are stretched, inner organs toned, and emotional and nervous tension is reduced. Often a deep sense of peace can be experienced during and after a treatment. Although the main emphasis in the practice of Thai yoga massage is usually on prevention (as all disease manifests first on the energy level and can be treated there before it becomes physical), it can also be of great therapeutic benefit for a range of specific problems and conditions, such as headaches, back pain, digestive disorders, shoulder and neck tension, joint pain, menstruation problems, insomnia, and other stress related conditions.
This retreat will take place in the floating praiwan rafthouse at Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok National Park, Southern Thailand. The pristine natural beauty, stillness and peace of the lake need to be experienced to believe that such a place exists.
An hour by car from Surat Thani Airport (URT), another hour of an awe inspiring journey by long tail boat, and then you will reach the wildlife sanctuary on Cheow Lan Lake, a stunning and incredibly peaceful lake in the midst of the most unspoiled and beautiful jungle and surrounded by majestic limestone cliffs. The wildlife includes many different species of monkeys and rare tropical birds, hornbills, monitor lizards, eagles, gibbons, and even elephants and tigers, but no mosquitoes!

During this retreat, you will be served three delicious meals a day, consisting of fresh fish from the lake, brown rice, and loads of fresh vegetables and fruits. There are also plenty of vegetarian options.
Please book your flight to arrive at Surat Thani International Airport (URT). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Mudita School of Thai Yoga Massage will pick you up from the airport.
