The accommodation is known as West Wood. This is a private cottage situated in the hills in a very quiet location in Manali, Himachal Pradesh state, India. This is an intensive yoga and nature rejuvenation program led by Guru Yogacharini Amrita who brings over 20 years of dedicated research and personal experience to her unique yoga and breathing practices as well as remarkable wisdom and knowledge about the science of yoga. Yoga is not merely a form of exercise for the body. It is an ancient wisdom for a healthier, happier, and more peaceful way of living, which ultimately leads to union with the self.
Yoga is not just performing some acrobatic poses or huffing and puffing some pranayama or “sleeping” your way through the so-called meditation. Yogacharini Amrita is a writer, author, spiritual teacher, and educator. Apart from being a keen trekker, she is also a qualified yoga and meditation master in the tradition of Rishiculture Ashtanga yoga taught by Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaj of Pondicherry, South India. This makes her the marketing, teaching, and preaching guru of yoga and meditation at Mountain Monk Yoga Retreats. Please book your flight to arrive at Kullu Manali Airport (KUU) or Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). Transfer from and to these airports are available upon request.
You can travel from New Delhi to Manali by Volvo AC bus. Volvo bus usually leave from New Delhi late in the evening and reach Manali by early morning. Travelling time is around 12 hours by road.
