Rebecca Morris invites you to join a yoga and guided walking retreat that is sure to refresh your senses with stretches enjoyed in the midst of nature's stunning landscapes. Set in the beautiful mountains of North Wales, this retreat will provide you with moments to reconnect with yourself and will leave you in awe of the world's wonders. Be centered and be carried away at the same time in this wonderful opportunity to celebrate yourself and the earth you live in.

Join us on this weekend of wild swimming in the pools, lakes, and rivers of Snowdonia, gazing up at the peaks from the unique perspective of fresh mountain water. Snowdonia is covered in lots of lovely hidden swimming spots, in lakes, tarns, and rivers. So while out walking, what better opportunity than to take advantage of this and go for a bit of a dip!! The walking will vary depending on weather conditions, however, they will include some hill climbing to get the best location possible so a good level of fitness would be good.

The yoga is a mixture of Vinyasa (dynamic) and Yin (stationary). You do not need to have done yoga before or have any particular level of fitness to come along - all abilities will be catered for.

Morris Mountains Retreats are based in Beddgelert in a beautiful cottage called Glasfryn with 7.5 acres of woodland and gardens that can be explored. It is run by a lovely lady who lives in the village. The cost is 275 GBP per person and the rooms will be shared in a twin room.

Self Catering cottage in the beautiful village of Beddgelert offering accommodation for up to 6 people in twin rooms which can be converted in doubles. Private off road parking and secluded patio area. An absolutely delightful base for exploring the amazing sights and facilities that Snowdonia has to offer. We also use another cottage that has two twin rooms.

Program

The yoga is a mixture of vinyasa (dynamic) and yin (stationary). You do not need to have done yoga before or have any particular level of fitness to come along - all abilities will be catered for.

The yoga

All of the classes are suitable for all abilities and will cater for beginners as well as advanced yogis. The morning classes will be full of more energetic and dynamic movements to get you ready for the day ahead, whereas the evening sessions will be on a gentler style with emphasis on stretching, deep breathing, and relaxation. Our yoga, walking, and exploration weekends are designed for those who love to be in the outdoors but don’t want anything too strenuous so it is the chance to explore the beauty of Wales through the exploration of rivers, waterfalls, woodlands, castles, and all the hidden gems of Snowdonia. The walks will be short and an easy grade. What's more important is that you are welcome to do both the gentle and the challenging styles of activities during the entire course of the retreat.

The Snowdonia National Park boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is known as Eryri by Welsh a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. The park which covers 838 square miles is one of the three natural parks found in Wales and the oldest one being designated as one in 1951.

The area of the Snowdonia National Park has so much to offer to visitors that if you are visiting it for the first time you will wonder why it took you so long to do it. Both the scenery and the activities that can be done here are so diverse that anyone will find something to suit their taste. Whether you are coming for pulse raising activities or for simply standing and admire the Snowdonia Mountains, lakes, rivers, and forests you will not be disappointed.

The landscape is breathtaking and unique. There are nine mountain ranges here and they cover over half of the national park’s surface. Some of the peaks reach over 3,000 feet (915 meters). But the mountains are not the only reason people are enchanted by this landscape.

There are many river gorges, waterfalls, and valleys. Forests are filled with ash, oak, rowan, and hazel trees.

Nature is not the only thing that can be found in the national park as it is also the place where over 26,000 permanent residents live their day-to-day life. Whatever the weather there is more than enough to keep you busy. On the website of Snowdonia Tourism, you will find information about attractions and things to do in Snowdonia.

Food

There will be 3 meals a day (with continuous access to tea, coffee, and fruit) starting with afternoon tea and cake on arrival. The food is vegetarian (some of which is homegrown) and any special dietary requirements can be accommodated).

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
