In 2017, Llys Ednowain Hostel offers comfortable, purpose-built accommodation in Trawsfynydd, Central Snowdonia. The shared accommodation has plenty of facilities and a gateway to some of the most beautiful parts of this wonderful national park.

In 2018, you shall be staying at Snowdonia Retreats. Fron Goch the Premier Retreat in North Wales is a place to truly relax and recharge. Good for the soul, this place has a spirit of its own that will intoxicate you whether you come for a personal retreat or for a holiday. The cottage is a four-star Tourist Board approved comfortable and detached cottage that sleeps four.

There is one twin bedroom on the ground floor and one double in the eves. The West Wing is a very special and private part of the main Welsh Long House that can accommodate four people in total (four single beds in a shared room). It is a four-star approved unit.

The yoga

All of the classes are suitable for all abilities and will cater for beginners as well as advanced yogis. The morning classes will be full of more energetic and dynamic movements to get you ready for the day ahead, whereas the evening sessions will be on a gentler style with emphasis on stretching, deep breathing, and relaxation.

The walks

All of the walks will be tailored to suit the needs of the participants. If you feel like having a gentle walk, taking in the beautiful North Wales surroundings, connecting with yourself, and simply breathing in the fresh air, then that is what your day will be.

If you feel like taking on a bit of a challenge and tackling some of the peaks that form the spectacular Wales landscape, then find your inner explorer and strike a yoga pose on the summit by all means. What's more important is that you are welcome to do both the gentle and the challenging styles of activities during the entire course of the retreat.

Please kindly be advised that the retreats of September 29-October 1 and October 6-8, 2017 and those of September 28-30, 2018 are charity events and a percentage of the proceeds will go to 'The Wild at Heart Foundation'. Similarly, 15% of the proceeds from the October 12-14, 2018 retreat (Animals Asia Charity Weekend) will also go to charity.

All the guided walks in this retreat are included in the price.

These retreats are currently held in the serene surroundings of North Wales, mainly in the mountainous region of Snowdonia which is a national park in Wales. The name of the region comes from Snowdon, the highest mountain in the country. Hiking and mountain walking are the main tourist activities here.

Trawsfynydd, in Central Snowdonia, is a gateway to some of the most beautiful parts of this wonderful national park. As well as the Rhinogydd mountains, there are numerous Roman remains and the Coed y Brenin forest; the region has numerous nature trails where you can view animals, birds and wild flowers.

Also, you can have a unique history of the village of Trawsfynydd in the multimedia exhibition of the Saint and the Sheperd at Llys Ednowain. Learn about the Bronze and Iron Ages at Crawcellt, and come and see a replica of the Trawsfynydd Tankard.

The exhibition about the Saint and the Shepherd is based on the lives of two famous people from the village, namely the poet Hedd Wyn and St John Roberts.

Fron Goch the Premier Retreat in North Wales is located in the Lledr valley, a quiet beautiful part of Snowdonia National Park. The property is remote, yet only half a mile from the A470 that takes you to Betws y Coed in just ten minutes; it is also five minutes from the small village centre of Dolwyddelan and Dolwyddelan Castle.

Set in 44 acres of welsh sheep country with mature oak woodland and views to mountains and the valley, there are plenty of opportunities for walking or simply sitting and contemplating or take time to meet the small herd of alpacas, who for a carrot or two will be your new friends.

All three daily meals are included in the price of this retreat. Morris Mountains is a strong believer that the key to a healthy mind is a healthy life, and that a massive part that plays in that is what people eat. That's why the food for this retreat will be gentle on the body and will make you feel energized before you even set foot out the door. You can rest assured that all meals will be healthy, hearty, and homemade.
