Enjoy the best of Surf and Yoga here in Morocco at The Surf Hostel. Located in the heart of Taghazout, a small African village filled with vibrant culture mixed with an unique surfer vibe. If you want to fully focus on the waves and re-energize with yoga sessions, this is the place for you. You will be provided with all the equipment you need for your level and have friendly experienced instructors for your surf and yoga sessions.
All ages are welcome as participants.
Morocco Surf Trips accommodation is smack bang in the heart of quaint Taghazout. It is a large building with communal lounge areas, kitchen, 3 shower rooms, a terrace and 6 bedrooms. The private rooftop is the perfect spot to lounge around, check the waves at Panorama's, Hash Point or Anchors, fix your boards, dry your wetsuits and admire the sea views until you fancy getting wet. In the evenings they have a projector for rooftop movies so you can really chill after a long day in the surf.
Guests stay in a large dorm style bedroom on bunks or single beds, each with fresh sheets after every stay with a maximum of 7 people per room. Every morning we provide breakfast on our large sun terrace, giving you the perfect environment for a stretch or yoga session before getting in the water and chasing waves!
Within a couple of hundred yards youll have all the amenities you might need, surf shops who will repair boards cheaply and to a very high standard, a couple of local shops supplying incredible fresh fruit and vegies and any other essentials, and top quality local restaurants provide food to suit any tastes from pizza to freshly caught local seafood.
Taghazout was once a quiet fishing village undiscovered and under the radar from the international surfing community. Now the waves here are as famous as the town itself with world class waves on your doorstep only meters away from the hostel terrace. The local community are welcoming to travelling surfers creating an amazing atmosphere unrivaled throughout Morocco. Within a short stroll of the hostel, youll find local shops supplying incredible fresh fruit, veggies and all your other essentials; top quality restaurants to suit any taste, from pizza to freshly caught local seafood and of course a number of surf shops that will repair boards to the highest of standards at a cheap price. Just ask the staff and theywill point you in the right direction for whatever you need.
Morocco Surf Trips are within walking distance to four of Moroccos best surf spots, including the world famous right-hand wave Anchor Point and Killer Point. There are also more manageable waves in the area such as Mysteries and Panoramas and even waves perfect for beginners.
This truly is Moroccos surfing paradise and within a short ride you can find empty, perfect waves, both North and South of the Surf Hostel. Enjoy the best of Taghazout surfing during the day and relax and wind down in the evening with sunset yoga sessions. The daily programme is flexible in order to enhance your stay by arranging surf sessions to maximise the best conditions for your ability. You will also be provided with equipment to use freely throughout your stay, either from our own range of boards or from their family surf shop located conveniently across the road. End your day on a high with a sunset yoga session that varies daily for all abilities. During your free time The Surf Hostel provides a friendly relaxed vibe where you can feel at home during your stay. We have a comfortable terrace with ocean views where you can chill out and meet new people. You will also be well catered for with access to 3 delicious meals a day prepared by our Moroccan Chef.
Arrive at Marrakech Airport (RAK) where Morocco Surf Trips can collect you in their spacious people carrier.
If you arrive by bus you will be dropped off at the square at the southern end of Taghazout. Walk north through town along the main strip for a couple of minutes, passing most of the shops and restaurants. Look out for the West Coast restaurant on the right hand side, after this take the second turn on the right. Follow the slope up and around to the right. We are the first blue door on the right hand side that says The Surf Hostel. Just knock and ask for Mohamed or Youssef Tachroune!
You can also get a coach or train from Marrakech to Agadir where Morocco Surf Trips are also able to collect you. The price varies depending on the operator but is usually around 15 GBP each way. Please email Morocco Surf Trips for more information.

Why not fly to Marrakech where Morocco Surf Trips can collect you in their spacious people carrier for 150 GBP each way, this is the price for the journey NOT per person so if you have 6 people the cost is only 25 GBP per head each way. Alternatively they can arrange for four or less people to be picked up by a local driver for 90 GBP.
Flying to Marrakech is sometimes a better option as you get to experience the wonderful city of Marrakech and fly with ryanair, easyjet or atlas-blue potentially saving you a substantial amount. You can also get a coach or train from Marrakech to Agadir where we are also able to collect you. The price varies depending on the operator but is usually around 15 each way please email us for more information.
Morocco has over 330 days of sunshine a year so day wear consists of boardies / bikinis and flip flops however it does get chilly the moment the sun comes down so a pair of jeans and a hoody is often worth packing.
Customers must be physically fit and capable to swim. The client confirms that from a medical point of view, there is nothing that prevents him / her to exercise the sport of surfing or bodyboarding. Morocco Surf Trips requires that you alert them of any allergies or health conditions before booking.
British passport holders do not need a visa to visit Morocco and are entitled to stay for up to 90 days. It is essential your passport is valid for 6 months from your arrival.
