At Moroccan Surf Adventures, they make every effort to ensure that you have the best surf holiday possible and this extends from the hospitality of our staff to the layout of our camp. Both owners and operators, makes every effort to ensure that you receive a consistently high standard of service, comfort and cleanliness in a real home from home atmosphere.

The camp is set across three buildings all enjoying unrivalled, uninterrupted sea and mountain views. There is a great sun terrace as well as a large lounge area with balcony overlooking the

sea where you can relax and enjoy cable television or watch a DVD. The salon is great for reading or checking emails and wifi is available throughout all buildings.

They have 12 comfortable and traditionally furnished double bedrooms that are set up as doubles or twins. Three of their rooms can also be configured as spacious triple rooms - great for families and groups of friends. Room dividers are available in each room to provide some extra privacy for single travelers sharing. All bedrooms have lockable doors for your security. There are 4 bathrooms in the camp and all have hot water showers.

Since Moroccan Adventures introduced their free sunrise yoga sessions in 2012, pretty much all of their guests have joined their resident yoga instructor, Rosannah, on the ocean view terrace to welcome the day. Such has been the enthusiasm and feedback from complete beginners to regular yogis they are now offering the yoga & surf experience which provides a better balance of activities for those who wish to enrich themselves both in and out of the water.

Yoga classes

During the week, you will be working through the seven chakras (roughly a chakra a day). Each class will be tailored to ensure every guest, regardless of ability, is happy and fulfilled. All classes included meditation, pranayama, and asana. The morning classes involve more dynamic flow, getting the body moving, warmed up and stretched ready for the day of surfing ahead. The evening classes will me more of a Hatha style practice learning towards a restorative class, focusing more on meditation and working in more detail through the particular chakra of the day. Mid week you will hike into the mountains of Paradise Valley with a picnic lunch, take an exclusive yoga class surrounded by mountains before finishing the day swimming in the peaceful freshwater swimming pools.

Example of daily itinerary

  • 07:30 - Morning yoga session
  • 08:30 - Breakfast
  • 09:30 - Surfing and beach time
  • 17:00 - Evening yoga
  • 19:30 - Evening meal

Rosannah has been their resident yoga teacher since 2014. She completed her training in Cape Town in 2011 and is certified with Yoga Alliance. Bringing a fresh modern approach to practicing yoga, her classes are light-hearted, allowing space for laughter and fun. During class, extra attention is given to each individual to ensure everyone has a successful session. Rosannah provides helpful tips as well as giving various options for postures to suit all levels. She is also a fully qualified ISA level surf 1 instructor, which has enabled her to design a unique vinyasa morning flow with surfing in mind.

"Rosannah's yoga classes are amazing. Out on the new terrace overlooking the coast, they are the perfect balance of challenging and relaxing. She takes into account how people feel that day, levels of ability and areas you'd like to work on. It's basically like a full body physiological session, to stretch out sore, aching muscles. She has an amazing voice and the music is perfect. Best yoga classes I've ever attended. Bliss!"

"I have always wanted to spend time in Morocco, surfing, eating tajine, tripping out on all the sacred geometry in all the culture, surfing the endless range of right points, meeting amazing locals and gypsy pirate surfers who live to be free enough to follow the weather and do what they want. I always wanted to smell the offshore Sahara winds and see the range of desert colors bouncing off long swells without human crowds. All these dreams happened on our trip with Denny, Dahman, and the Moroccan Surf Adventures family. Forever grateful to the crew for making another great dream within this human dream come true. Big love and joy till I come back soon!"
