Breath, it sounds so simple, you all do it without giving it a thought, but there are many ways to breathe. In the stillness, listening to the wind as it sweeps through the canyons, hearing birds adrift on the thermals, insects singing, falling pebbles, your breath. You bring flutes and drums as part of your sound healing program to enhance the mind-body connection.

Having spent her early years on the family farm, Debra has been savoring the outdoor world all her life. After arriving in Arizona in 1982, her exploration began in earnest - hiking, rock climbing, canyoneering, and caving. Monumental Meditation is a passion project Debra visualized many years ago and now, the time has come for this dream to be realized. With the help of an amazing team of sacred souls, she is happy to introduce mindful retreats to connect or reconnect to practices that promote healthfulness, healing, and wellbeing.
Jennie has been living in rural Southern Utah since 1992 and practicing yoga for 29 years. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and camping in the sacred landscape of the Southwest US. In 2013, she received her Reiki attunement and training in Sedona, AZ. She completed a 200-hour Hatha yoga instructor program in 2017. Jennie has taught yoga and meditation in mental health and substance abuse treatment programs. In 2020, she helped found a local outdoor education nonprofit. Jennie currently runs the nonprofit, teaches yoga and meditation, and works as a river guide on the Colorado River in Glen Canyon.
Mark, born and raised in Southern England, has had a deep connection to the natural world that surrounded him from a young age. The sacred Neolithic landscape of his native county of Wiltshire inspired him to begin a spiritual journey of self-discovery which continues through his mediation and mindfulness practices along with regularly attending retreats and workshops. His journey also led him to the healing art of Reiki, and after many years of study in the United Kingdom, he attained the level of master / teacher. Regular Reiki along with his meditation practice has increased his connection.
This retreat will be held at the Grand Circle Ranch in the Escalante Staircase National Monument. This is an eco-friendly venue. This beautiful oasis in the desert offers spectacular view, an authentic Mongolian Yurt for sound healing and a yoga studio for Reiki and meditation. There is a walking path through a pine forest, a stroll to the stone circle and a dreamy firepit for dinner and star gazing.
