Retreat location

The yogic way of life

MOKSHA YOGSHALA is based in heart of Rishikesh. Filled with beautiful winding streams leading off of the Ganges and breathtaking natural splendor, every corner of Rishikesh makes a great makeshift yoga studio. Spirituality pervades almost all aspects of life in Rishikesh, with days usually starting and ending with meditation and yoga sessions.

Environment and problems

While Rishikesh’s popularity among foreigners and yoga enthusiasts has created a boom for locals, over the years, the town has also become a mainstream tourist center thanks to its natural beauty. With several new tourist resorts opening, there has been an increase in activity in the region, which has adversely affected the town’s peaceful demeanor. However, international interest and pressure from activists have firmly put the spotlight back on yoga and there are efforts underway to reduce the environmental impact of adventure sports in the region to maintain its pristine nature. This will ensure that Rishikesh remains the yoga capital of the world.

Whether you want to experience yoga by attending a couple of classes or getting a yoga teacher training certification, there is no dearth of options when you are in Rishikesh. For that reason, you can find more courses for yoga teacher training in Rishikesh than anywhere in the world. You simply learn from the best!

Facilities nearby and transportation

There are many shops, also fruits and vegetables are available, ATM, post-office, Hospital (AIIMS in Rishikesh), Mini supermarkets and restaurants near the school. Commuting in Rishikesh is easily available by Auto Rickshaws or Tourist Cabs – those are the best choice in case you want to tour all day or visit nearby places.
