The accommodation options are on a private, double, and triple room occupancy basis. All rooms are fully furnished, comfortable, and stylish. Awaba Retreat opts for a non-smoking, alcohol-free, and ecologically conscious environment. The retreat only uses biodegradable bath and cleaning products. Awaba is equipped with wonderful facilities like a swimming pool, spa, extensive walking trails, and a serene garden.

Start each day with a morning meditation, pranayama, yoga practices, and a nutritious vegetarian breakfast. Take a breath of fresh air and feel at ease during the nature walks through bush trails and meditation in the secret cave.

In your free time you could spend your time by the pool, soak up the lush surroundings, or put your feet up in the Zen lounge room. Enjoy a vegetarian lunch in the afternoon and savor the healthy snacks that are provided throughout the day.

Make a secret craft that you can take home and enrich yourself with the happiness workshop that inspires positivity and creativity and teaches you how to cultivate happiness. Fill your stomach with a nourishing vegetarian dinner and end the day with Yin or Restorative focused yoga practices.

    Vicky has over 17 years of yoga experience, over 1000 hours of formal yoga training, is currently a Senior Level 2 Teacher with Yoga Australia, and a registered member of the Australian Association of Yoga Therapists. After having rehabilitated from an injury with the help of yoga, Vicky made it her life-passion to share the therapeutic benefits of yoga on both physical and mental health conditions. Vicky’s teaching focuses extensively on alignment to help develop better physical musculo-skeletal coordination, awareness, and balance.

  • Thy Nguyen

    Thy's first encounter with Ashtanga yoga was 12 years ago. She decided to pursue her passion for yoga and become a full-time teacher when she discovered Moksha or Modo Hot yoga. Thy has studied Hot yoga with multiple brilliant teachers and enjoys the fact that she is still learning more about postures, people, and their bodies during her teaching. Her classes are always fun, dynamic, and with a sense of lightness. She loves sharing her knowledge and passion for yoga with her students and community and hopes that they are able to reflect the positive energy from yoga into their daily lives.

This retreat will be held at the Awaba Retreat in Palmdale, New South Wales, Australia. The retreat is located near Sydney on the beautiful New South Wales Central Coast, is set on 22 acres surrounded by gardens and paddocks, forest and hills, and epitomizes clarity, order, and serenity.

  • Continue on M1 to Artarmon. Take the Pacific Highway or A1 exit from M1.

  • Follow Pacific Midway or M1 to Ourimbah. Take the exit toward Pacific Highway or Ourimbah or Palmdale from Pacific Midway or M1.
  • Take Pacific Highway and Palmdale Road to Fern Tree Lane in Palmdale.

  • Take Brownlee Street to Pacific Highway.

Arrival by train and bus

The closest train station to Awaba Retreat is the Ourimbah railway station. The Awaba Retreat is not easily accessible by bus. The closest bus stop is still 25 minutes away from the retreat. Take bus line 47 from Red Bus Service to Wyong and exit the bus at the stop Pacific Highway. Head northeast on Pacific Highway, when reaching the roundabout, take the first exit onto Palmdale Road and turn left onto Fern Tree Lane.
