This retreat is an invitation for the reprogramming of your body’s response to stress and give your overworked self a mindful, relaxing, and rejuvenating break in an amazing location.Through the healing practice of meditation, gentle Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga you will be tapping into your ability to find a balance in the nervous systems of action (sympathetic) and relaxation (parasympathetic).
You will be staying in the beautiful beachfront cottages of Tallow Beach house, located within a nature reserve and natural bush setting. You will have your own secluded space with private parking and large undercover decks for outdoor living. Some cottages overlook the lake and the beach is just 60 meters away. Relax in the peaceful environment, walk the beaches, cycle the bike tracks, surf, or just chill out on the generous veranda that presides over bush or lake views. The beach house facilities include reverse cycle air conditioning, two bedrooms with king double or single beds with shared bathroom (some cottages have en suite bathrooms), kitchen, linen, and a living area.
Miriam brings together physical yoga asana practice with stimulating non-dogmatic philosophy to create a conscious experience of presence and living wisdom in the body and in the heart. Her classes are ever changing, infused with warmth and vigour, and although being challenging, never losing site of the deeper side of practice that calls for open, non-judgmental observation.
This retreat will take place at Tallow Beach Houses. This Byron Bay beachfront house stands where the beach and the bush come together on the edge of the Arakwal National Park. Stay in your own secluded beach house located in a private 30 acre sanctuary with 630 meters of beachfront, halfway between the lighthouse and Broken Head. Uncrowded waves, the friendly wildlife, a tranquil lake, and a bicycle track complete the scene. Wake up and sleep to the hypnotic sound of the ocean waves and immerse yourself in the peace, and tranquility of this very unique resort.

You will be served three daily vegetarian meals along with fresh cold pressed juices and herbal teas. The chef of the house is Todd Cameron (True Nature Cuisine) who has a vast culinary experience spanning 18 years in various cuisine styles, these skills coupled with his philosophy of energetic awareness come together to provide high quality, contemporary health enhancing food styles. Todd has played a role in the development of Australian spa cuisine as head chef from inception of the award winning Gaia retreat and spa, one of Australia’s leading retreat and spas. Todd uses the best fresh seasonal and organic local ingredients available. He caters to all dietary requirements, kindly confirm upon booking.
A one hour massage is included in the retreat program. You can book additional massages at the venue, for an extra cost.
