Azula’s 90-square-meter hand-built yoga deck is located in the heart of the project on top of the hills. With its great view over gentle hills, the platform is surrounded by beautiful cork oaks. The roof of the yoga deck is a wooden lotus-shaped geodesic Zome covered by colorful fabrics, as a celebration of life and the connection between the Mother Earth and all beings.

Energizing morning yoga and meditation sessions, restoring afternoon sessions, and evening candlelit guided meditation sessions under the stars, will take place on this beautiful platform, deeply connecting you with the wonders and unique healing power of nature. One of the most profound lessons the Coronavirus pandemic has taught us is the importance of connection. Material things don’t actually matter as much as we once thought they were, and what’s absolutely essential to the human experience is being able to connect with others, physically, emotionally, spiritually, or energetically. Things that don’t typically leave a mark on our heart become the very things we miss the most - a smile of a baby on the bus, the smell of freshly baked bread in the farmer’s market, chatting to a stranger in a bar and “Hello” from the homeless guy on the street. When the pandemic fades away and leaves many of us mentally fragile, it’s time to ask ourselves, how can we learn to live our lives with deeper awareness, positivity, and inner peace? How can we connect with each other in a more meaningful way? How can we look after ourselves better and kinder? Moreover, how can we love our Mother Nature more and cherish its beauty and abundance

This beautiful 5-day retreat is a perfect opportunity for you to connect with yourself better by learning how your mind works and how to make it work better for (not against) you; to meet and evolve with like-minded people from around the globe and learn from each other’s stories, experiences, and perspectives; to deeply destress, detox, and renew your body and soul; and to grow deeper awareness of our inner and outer world, especially Mother Nature. In yoga practices, you'll learn different styles of practice including Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Hatha, Rocket, Power and Traditional Balinese Watukaru yoga, to help you develop greater bod,y awareness, learn to listen to your body, supercharge your practice with the concept of neuroplasticity and flow effortlessly into stillness and inner harmony in order to experience the truth of who you are.

In meditation practices, you’ll practice various techniques such as mindfulness, silent, Tibetan Tonglen, staring, hugging, and dancing meditation. These practices give meditation beginners a great chance to kickstart their individual practices and experienced practitioners a wonderful opportunity to learn other techniques of practice. The Mediterranean diet is renowned for being the healthiest diet in the world. Every day, you’ll enjoy wholesome, abundant and delicious vegetarian and vegan Mediterranean, Portuguese, and Indian cuisine with freshly picked organic vegetables of your choice! How to get there

Recommended Airports

BY BUS

From Faro, please check on the central station in Faro for a bus from Faro to Lagos. There is a bus available every half hour. From Lagos to Cercal and São Luis is only one bus a day available.

From Lisbon, the bus leaves next to the zoo in Lisbon and goes twice a day to Cercal or once a day directly to São Luis. The ticket costs 16 EUR if you above 30 years, 13 EUR for under 30 years old.

Driving direction

From Faro

  • 1. Get on the A22 to Lisboa/Portimão/Albufeira from the IC4 (15 minutes)
  • 2. Take the A2 following the signs to Lisboa/Messines (43 minutes)
  • 3. Take the exit 12 to merge onto IP2/N123 towards Ourique
  • 4. Take the N123 exit towards Odemira
  • 5. Take the M532 until you arrive in Lameiros
  • 6. Take a sharp right up the hill in Lameiros but not all the way up. Continue downhill onto the unpaved road for about 1 kilometer always keeping left until you see the Azula sign
  • 7. Azula's coordinate is 37° 44`34.67” N 8° 36`42.85” W

From Lisbon

  • 1. Take Av. Da Liberdade to R. Joaquim Antíio de Aguiar (6 minutes)
  • 2. Follow the A2 to IC1/N262 in Setúbal. Take the exit 10 from A2/E1 (1 hour 7 minutes)
  • 3. Follow the N120 until you see the São Luis sign, some meters before taking a left to the direction of Lameiros
  • 4. Continue for about 5 kilometers and take the left up the hill about 200 meters after the “Lameiros” sign and then keep right (don't go left again towards the café) downhill on the unpaved road for about 1 kilometer. Always keep on the left until you see the Azula sign 6. Azula's coordinate is 37° 44`34.67” N 8° 36`42.85” W.
