Dear friends, the intention behind this retreat is simple: Mind's Garden wants to help you get back on your feet when it feels like our world has been spinning out of control. Everyone is doing the best they can, but there is still so much unresolved stress and pain we’ve been carrying since the global pandemic. This deeply healing inner journey sets out to release negativity stored in both your body and mind, recharge your soul batteries and replenish your heart with peace, joy, and love. Let these beautiful five days guide you home where you accept yourself 100%, fall madly in love with who you are, and lead a life that isn’t perfect, but is absolutely perfect for you.
This retreat offers four types of accommodation, shared Balinese homestay rooms, shared Balinese villa twin rooms, private Balinese homestay rooms and private deluxe garden room.
Homestay rooms are located only a short walk away from the retreat centre (5 - 8 minutes). They are part of local Balinese people’s homes. Staying in these super comfy homestay rooms offers the guests a great chance to be part of the village life and connect deeper with Hindu culture and people. Each room has a garden-facing terrace, a lounge area, a flat-screen TV, air-conditioner, shower, wardrobe, desk, and cozy beds with Balinese style beddings.
Religion, beliefs, and rituals are everywhere in Bali, they’re ingrained in how people think and what they do in their everyday life. When you stay in a Balinese home, please respect your host's way of life, their religion, their space, just like how you’d like others to respect yours.
Shared Balinese style villa rooms are located within the retreat center, surrounded by stunning rice paddies and coconut trees that will take your breath away. There is also a newly built pool, spa center, meditation garden, reception, lounge, and yoga shala at the retreat site.
The rooms are traditional Balinese style villas decorated with a unique Bohemian touch. Each ensuite room has a flat-screen TV, air-conditioner, bathtub, shower, toilet, wardrobe, desk and beautiful beds fitted with soft Egyptian cotton beddings. All the artworks in the rooms are beautifully done by artists from the village.
Private deluxe garden rooms are located upon a small hill surrounded by lush tropical trees and greenery. The rooms are modern Balinese style villas decorated with a calming garden vibe. Each room is fully equipped with an air-conditioner, TV, wardrobe, desk, shower and wardrobe. The view of our gardens is second to none!
For those who stay in the private deluxe garden rooms, they serve fresh mineral water, herbal tea and coffee all day long; the staff will also bring you two complimentary all-natural organic tropical juices/smoothies every day at a time of your choice! The new pool is just ready for use, and they can't wait for you all to enjoy it!
One of the most profound lessons the Coronavirus pandemic has taught us is the importance of CONNECTION. Material things don’t actually matter as much as we once thought they were, and what’s absolutely essential to the human experience is being able to connect with others and ourselves, physically, emotionally, spiritually or energetically. Whether you are a complete beginner in meditation or yoga, or you have been practicing for some time, or you are an experienced meditation or yoga teacher, this program will empower you with profound knowledge, wisdom and a fresh perspective on yourself. You and only you, hold the key to positive self-transformation in your own hand and it is your responsibility to turn that key. All you need to do is to learn to truly let go and believe in yourself consistently during this extraordinary self-journey.
In the guided meditation sessions, you'll be given psychoanalysis and positive psychology-based guidance to help you to work with your own mind and communicate with it effectively; to learn to observe your thoughts and feelings from the inside out and cultivate non-judgmental and mindful awareness of your body and mind; to connect deeply with your inner voice and intuition and develop stronger mental and emotional resilience; to care for your inner child and heal unresolved trauma or pain from your past; and to learn how to truly relax and blossom into the most beautiful vision you have for yourself.
The sessions will be conducted with the assistance of aromatherapy, singing bowls and candle light, creating a magical ambience that will assist you to arrive into deep relaxation, wonderful peace and blissful stillness.
In the yoga practices, you'll learn different styles of practice including Vinyasa, Restorative, Hatha, Power and Traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga, to help you develop greater body awareness, learn to listen to your body and flow effortlessly into stillness and inner harmony in order to experience the truth of who you are.
In the meditation practices, you’ll practice various techniques such as mindfulness, Tibetan Tonglen, Zen, walking, hugging and dancing meditation. These practices give meditation beginners a great chance to kickstart their meditation practice and experienced practitioners a wonderful opportunity to learn other techniques of meditation.
You’ll make many new discoveries about yourself and open up to new perspectives and beliefs that will transform your inner world.
In the breathwork practices, you’ll be guided through different breathing techniques and learn to harness the phenomenal power of your own breath; to release physical and emotional blockages, pain and trauma; and to feel perfectly safe and grounded in the present moment using the breath as your anchor.
Remember that you may have different experiences from others, but you are not alone in how you feel. You may not be responsible for the negative things that happened to you, but you are 100% responsible for healing and rising above them.
During this process, Mind's Garden encourage you to learn to let others in. Take one step at a time. Pace yourself. Ask for help when needed. Experienced teachers from Mind’s Garden will be right there to help you at every stage of this transformative journey you so bravely chose to take for yourself.
We often try to change something external when the thing that’s blocking us from our ideal state of being is internal. We need to learn to let go of all the self-beliefs and emotional patterns that no longer serve us in order to create space for positive changes to happen in our life. The art of letting go is about trusting our own journey, playing fully yet not attached to the outcome.
The most underrated relationship we’re in is our relationship with ourselves as it sets the tone for all the other relationships we have. Cultivating healthy relationships is about falling in love with yourself and sharing that love with people who appreciate you rather than chasing after love to compensate for a self-love deficit. It’s time to let go of toxic relationships, people pleasing and emotional burnout!
Your body has its own intelligence, it feeds on not just the food you eat, but everything you say, think and do. The key to live a healthier life is treating your body with both kindness and discipline. Learn to set healthy boundaries, manage your stress and change your negative self-beliefs.
How is your relationship with money? Does money often make you anxious? Do you feel ashamed for having too little (or too much) wealth? Abundance is a mindset, what’s holding you back are limiting self-beliefs such as “I always struggle with money”, “this promotion is too good for me”, “who am I to deserve such a great guy?”. Danai is a psychotherapist, yoga and meditation instructor from Greece. In search of a more peaceful mind, she traveled across Europe into the majestic landscapes of Finland, where she discovered her true passion - fluid body movements through yoga and dancing. Combining her psychology background with her certification in Vinyasa yoga and guided meditation, she guides people through their individual paths of self-acceptance, transformation, overcoming of past trauma and better communication with their subconscious mind and inner voice.
Landy is a certified Vinyasa and meditation teacher. She has a natural gift of listening in order to understand people on a deeper level and applies effortlessly her understanding and empathy to her teaching or as she prefers to call it, guided self-healing through meditation, pranayama, yoga and yoga therapy. She integrates her love for poetry, art and oriental philosophy, and medicine into her teaching and has been a part of many people's positive self-transformation and journeys to happier and more fulfilling lives.
Claudia is a mathematician and statistician turned full-time yogi. She’s certified in both Yin yoga and yoga therapy, while studying extensively Chinese traditional medicine and acupuncture. Her passion for understanding the intricacies of the human body especially its self-healing power guided her to discover a unique approach of teaching—she helps students to deepen and expand their practices through activating specific acupressure points in the body. She believes there’s infinite power held in our body, and we just need to learn to use the right key to unleash it.
Gede Arya started studying Traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga and Meditation at the age of 17, in 1993. He is a disciple of the ninth generation of Perguruan Seruling Dewata in Bali. He specialises in the Watukaru Yoga tradition of Perguruan Seruling Dewata--- the only Ashram in the world that preserves TBW Yoga; Balinese meditation; Tai Chi and Pencak Silat Martial Arts. He's been a Marital Arts master for the past 30 years. He dedicates his life's work to conserving the practices of ancient Balinese Watukaru Yoga & Meditaiton, Chakra opening, Tai Chi and Pencak Silat Martial Arts.
Krishna is a Traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga and meditation teacher. She's been studying and teaching Balinese Yoga, meditation, pranayama and charka opening for the past ten years. Her hands-on approach, passion for teaching and loving smiles are mind-blowing and will certainly help you deepen your yoga and meditation practice. She's the kindest, most fun, and passionate teacher and friend you'll ever meet!
From a rice farmer and wife who worked over twelve hours in the rice paddies every single day in addition to taking care of a family of six, Dewi transformed her life by studying English and the practice of yoga. Now, she not only manages Balitrees, but teaches Traditional Balinese Watukaru Yoga to both western guests and women and children from her local community. She believes Yoga is a way of life that can lead us to find more peace and joy from within ourselves. When in a class, she teaches with her heart and soul, giving all of her love, warmth and authenticity to her students.
The retreat center is located at the village of Sesandan, Megati, Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia. It is close to Mount Watukaru, about 30 minutes from Tabanan city, 45 minutes from Tanah Lot Temple, and around two hours from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) airport.
This resort has been given a CHSE permit by the Bali government to reopen to foreign guests, after strict inspection of the health and safety measures of their premises. They are one of the only two resorts in Tabanan Regency that’s on Bali government’s recommendation list of Covid-free properties for safe and healthy touristy stay.
