Program

This retreat is designed to fully relax, restore, and nourish you whilst giving you inspiration and practical ways of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and mindset when you return home. You will be very warmly welcomed, fully looked after and cherished as the true you resurfaces. New lifelong friendships are formed and everyone leaves feeling amazing!

Remember everything is optional and you can join in with whatever you like, or simply rest or go in the hot tub if you prefer to sit something out or relax in your own room having a treatment or journalling / reading. We have a fabulous journal workshop planned where everyone receives a journal and a pen and gets started - everyone from the last retreat loved this session and nearly all are journaling regularly now.

At our retreat we look after you so well and you don't have to do anything you don't want to. This is all about YOU and YOU getting the very best out of the retreat to suit your needs at the time. From the moment you arrive you will feel at ease, and I guarantee you will meet wonderful people and get so much out of the time you spend with us.

About Mind Body and Spirit Women's Retreats

We are passionate about what we offer on our retreats and each one is slightly different. The intention is that everyone who comes will feel warmly welcomed, have some real time out to relax, rebalance, feel peaceful, de stress and perhaps enjoy some new ideas and perspectives. In such a beautiful, big, clean, comfy, spacious house with such beauty all around you and all delicious food cooked and prepared for you, you will leave feeling thoroughly restored!

The combination of all the carefully selected elements of this retreat will help still the chatter of a busy mind, help you connect with your true self, and offer you a chance to restore and refresh in a way only possible when time is taken purely for this reason. If you are coming because you simply want a little time away and some down time then thats is perfectly fine and there is no pressure to joining any activities but everyone is welcome to do so.

Daily Yoga, meditation and restful time along with the breathing exercises will strengthen your immune system, calm your nervous system and help your wellbeing. You will become more aware of the true wonderful you, and this, in turn, will bring a sense of self-love and gratitude that in your busy lives is often neglected. This awareness and reconnection will help leave self-doubt, insecurities or stress behind as you move forward with your life.

Inner confidence will start to blossom as we sow these seeds with you, and you begin to recognize the true good and kindness in your heart. You will take away from the retreat a sense of happiness in yourself, contentment and confidence recognized and nurtured allowing your future path to open up, and relationships to flourish.

Here is an idea of the sort of things you can expect on this retreat

  • A very warm welcome to everyone to put everyone at ease and get to know each other
  • Each retreat includes daily gentle Hatha yoga and meditation sessions which is concluded with a deeply relaxing asana, alignment and breath work - led by Yoga instructors Rachel, this is suitable for all abilities even if you have never done yoga before. This is a wonderful experience with attendees writing to tell us how much it relaxed and restored them fully. All sessions are included in the price but totally optional in terms of participation.
  • Optional group workshops on two subjects which are How to build positive habits and let go of unhelpful ones, and How to improve your communication in difficult situations so your voice is heard. Some mindfulness and intention setting/gratitude and can help relieve anxiety and stress and will be central to the retreats. Learning during the retreat to hit the 'Pause' will be invaluable when you return to your everyday life challenges and you realise you can manage challenges more positively and calmly.
  • Guided beach Walks in stunning Ferryside listening to the sounds the gulls and smelling the fresh salty air, listening to the roar of the waves and feeling the wind in your hair, stress dissolving and leaving you feeling at peace and happy to be alive in this moment. Walking barefoot in the sand and connecting to Mother Nature is blissful and soothing.
  • We have planned a stunning guided country walk to get out in green nature, be invigorated by the elements and blow away the cobwebs, see the snowdrops and daffodils in full bloom, spot birds and creatures with interest and build an appetite for the yummy food provided all weekend.
  • We invite you to evening socialization and chats for those who want to, evening use of private hot tub, or quiet reflection time in your comfy, clean and lovely room if you prefer - it’s all your choice as this is time for YOU.
  • Use of private hot tub included for any time.
  • All delicious homemade organic and locally sourced (where possible) meals made in house

Daily itinerary

Day 1

  • 12:00 - 13:00 Arrival, tea and welcome
  • 13:00 Lunch - Homecooked and organic food using fresh local produce where possible
  • Guided mindful country walk (optional)
  • 16:00 Your map/ My Map' session by personal coach and mindfulness guru Em Melrose. Much positive feedback from these sessions has been received with women making lots of positive changes following our last retreat.
  • Drink and snack
  • Free time to socialize, walk or do garden yoga, or reflect on the session in your own space or just take some time out.
  • 19:00 Home cooked dinner which is always vegetarian, healthy and delicious - contact Mind Body and Soul Women's Retreats if you have dietary needs and if they can oblige, they will be delighted to
  • After dinner, free time to socialize, read, use the hot tub, take time out alone and have any scheduled treatments such as reiki, massage, and more

Day 2

  • Pre-breakfast walk and meditation (optional)
  • 07:30 - 09:30 Breakfast and free time
  • 10:30 Excursion to nearby Ferryside where the main yoga and mediation session is held - Led by the amazing Anavrin whose intention is to help you discover a healthier, happier you using yoga, asana, alignment and breathwork.
  • Chai and snack
  • Guided beach walk (tide permitting, or cliff walk if not)
  • 13:00 Lunch - homemade and organic vegetarian food
  • After lunch rest and relax and enjoy the peaceful house and grounds
  • Time for pre-booked treatments at the house or quiet and mindful reflection
  • Talk on the Art of Rest for those interested - very interesting learning a little about what rest actually is to you and how doing more of it can really help physical and mental health
  • 19:00 Dinner - Home-cooked organic and delicious!
  • Evening socializing or quiet time - there is also use of the hot tub

Day 3

  • Pre-breakfast walk and meditation for those who fancy it
  • 07:30 - 09:30 Breakfast
  • Regroup, relax and read, reflect, or socialize - a variety of tea, coffee, drinks available at all times
  • Walk, hot tub, journal, or do some garden yoga/mediation or take 121 chat with Laura or Em before.
  • 12:00 Departure
  • Free lifts to and from Kidwelly train station (by arrangement)

It is very informal and warm, and there is no pressure to join in anything you are not comfortable with - you can just be present and not share anything if you so wish. All that's needed is your presence.

Providing healthy, delicious food is part of nurturing you during your stay. Recipes can be provided for all meals which are homemade in house.

Use of the hot tub is included for evening relaxation.

The real focus will be on the things that matter in life; health, happiness, peace, relaxation, friendships, gratitude, nature and mindful choices, with some fun along the way. We hope the retreat can boost self-esteem and confidence by instilling a sense of self-awareness and choice, connect you more deeply to your true self, help you enjoy being in the now. This retreat will take you to Kidwelly which is a peaceful, rural Welsh town with country walks from the doorstep. The Dyffryn House retreat is nestled in its own grounds set back from the road with ancient oak trees and large lawned area. Stunning beaches are close by and our excursion takes us to nearby Ferryside to enjoy a beach walk. 4 hours on the train from Manchester or London. Free collections and drop off at Kidwelly train station.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Bristol Airport (BRS) and take the train to Kidwelly station and free pick up from Kidwelly station. Alternatively, you could also fly into Cardiff Airport (CWL) which is much closer.

Trains run from London to Kidwelly - 3.5 hours and Manchester to Kidwelly - 4 hours. The organizer provides free collection from the station and drops off at the station. Arrival and departure times are flexible and will fit in with train times.
