Yoga and Meditation Retreat in Peru

Welcome to our monthly Silent Meditation Retreat that we hold on the island of Amantani in the middle of Lake Titicaca. In one of the most powerful places on earth, we make a shift from the mind back into the heart and dive in the domain of inner peace, cosmic consciousness and Love. The silent meditation retreats offered by Meditation Retreat Peru are a unique opportunity to spend conscious time with ourselves, exploring our inner universe and the mysteries of our heart.

Peace and happiness within you

Under guidance of experienced meditation teachers we will meditate in silence, practice hatha yoga and receive teachings and instructions. The retreats aim to bring more inner peace, love, joy and happiness as well as a profound understanding of our true nature. We believe in the Oneness and interconnectedness of all creation and meditation as wonderful tool to experience this oneness within our own heart.

The accommodation is simple, clean accommodation to provide the perfect retreat conditions. Bedding and enough blankets are provided.

The retreat is based on the teachings of Advaita Vedanta (Oneness consciousness) and yoga, we are also integrating teachings from all major spiritual traditions like Buddhism, Hinduism, mystic Christianity, Sufism and Judaism and we recognize their Oneness in essence. We are not focussed on Dogmas but rather try to help the students to get their own inner experiences.

Meaningful silence

The retreat itself consists of 3 days of silence, however the introduction session is usually held the evening of the previous day at 5 p.m. During this session we explain the set up and content of the retreat and get to know each other. The retreat ends in the evening of the 3rd day of silence with a session of sharing. You are welcome to stay until the next morning.

Important guidelines

In order to create the most supportive conditions for you to go as deep as possible we created certain guidelines for the retreat which are there to help you get the most out of it. These guidelines are meant to help you go deeper in your own experience. If you think that you might have difficulties with one of them and you want to do the retreat, please contact us.

"I had a very nice time at the Silent Meditation retreat at the Anamanti Island. The town is a beautiful space for whom are looking for a purely quiet and laid back place to stay. "

"Be aware that the accommodations and meals are very basic which means lack of hot water and enough water pressure for showering. "

"The teacher was knowledgeable and very caring (Andreas and his wife Nicole). It is a great experience for those who want to explore and initiate the practice of meditation. "

Testimonials

"This is probably too late, but I did the retreat and it was absolutely amazing and transformative -a really beautiful experience that I will remember forever! I want to do it again. I only wish the retreat center had hot water for showers and a little more food variety at meals, but it is on a remote island (with no electricity except solar panels) and everything (besides what is grown there) has to come on a boat, so you get lots of potatoes, corn, cheese, etc.You have to know what you are getting yourself into in that way. The silence, meditation and instruction were all really well-done. Its a legitimate yoga school (with headquarters in Mexico) that offers the retreat. The location is indescribably beautiful and energetically powerful."

"After studying and practicing yoga and Advaita Vedanta for many years, I recently experienced a profound fusion of the two ancient understandings in a Hridaya Yoga meditation retreat in Pisac, Peru, under the superb guidanc of Laksman, a very gifted teacher. The heart-centered approach of Hridaya is a much needed remedy for our busy minds."
