We are visiting Cusco, the ancient Capital of the Incas.

Being a place with a long history, the city has a very special atmosphere. The historic city was build in there shape of a puma, being the energetic center of the Incan empire with many ancient temples and ceremonial sites.

Day 3: Exploring the Sacred Valley

The sacred valley is our base during the first part of the trip. It is located only 45 min from the busy city of Cusco, but is a very different environment. Small towns are nestled below majestic mountains along the Urubamba river. We visit the spiral terraces of Maray, the salt mines of Mares and other impressive places.

Day 4: Machu Pichu

One of the many highlights of the tour:

We visit the ancient ceremonial city Machu Pichu and spend the entire day exploring the ruins, surrounded by a magnificent landscape. In the evening we return to our resting place in the sacred valley.

Day 5: Pisac, the temple of the sun and traditional markets

We will spend the day in Pisac, a beautiful little town below an ancient Inca city with a famous temple of the sun at its center. After going for a walk in the ruins, we spend the day exploring the traditional market and enjoying the atmosphere of the town which is also home for hundreds of expats from countries around the world.

Day 6: Travelling to Lake Titicaca

Today we are traveling from Cusco to Lake Titicaca where we the silent meditation retreat is held. We are traveling by bus, minivan and boat to the island Amantani. It is a comfortable journey in an impressive landscape. On the island we stay with a local family in a beautiful guest house.

Day 7: We start the silent retreat on the island Amantani

Today is the first day of the 3 day silent meditation retreat.

We spend the days in silence with Meditation and Yoga and are guided by experienced meditation teachers who will give you all necessary instructions. During the retreat we also visit the ancient temples of the island where we will meditate together and let the special atmosphere of the place touch our hearts.

Day 8: Meditation Retreat - going deeper into silence

Today is the second day of our silent meditation retreat. The purpose of the retreat is to open and explore our heart. The special atmosphere of the island with a deep ever present silence provides perfect conditions for the retreat.

Day 9: End of the silent meditation retreat

After a visit to the shores of the lake, we end the silent retreat in the evening with a little ceremony and an opportunity for those who wish to share their experience. Usually the sharing circle is a beautiful heart touching moment that allows us to integrate the profound experience of the retreat.

Day 10: Chucuito - the temple of fertility

After breakfast we say good bye to the island and take a boat back to the mainland where we will visit an ancient temple of fertility and stay at a very comfortable hotel which was created by a local shaman, harmoniously integrated in in the landscape, overlooking the lake.

Day 11: Visiting the stargate

After a delicious breakfast at our comfortable hotel, we visit the stargate a rock formation and ancient ceremonial place which is said to be a portal to other dimensions. Regardless of the myths, there is a tangible energy present at this place which for many people leads to profound experiences and insights.

In the evening we return to our hotel for our last night of the tour.

"I had a very nice time at the Silent Meditation retreat at the Anamanti Island. The town is a beautiful space for whom are looking for a purely quiet and laid back place to stay. "

"Be aware that the accommodations and meals are very basic which means lack of hot water and enough water pressure for showering. "

"The teacher was knowledgeable and very caring (Andreas and his wife Nicole). It is a great experience for those who want to explore and initiate the practice of meditation. " website, edited, edited

"This is probably too late, but I did the retreat and it was absolutely amazing and transformative -a really beautiful experience that I will remember forever! I want to do it again. I only wish the retreat center had hot water for showers and a little more food variety at meals, but it is on a remote island (with no electricity except solar panels) and everything (besides what is grown there) has to come on a boat, so you get lots of potatoes, corn, cheese, etc.You have to know what you are getting yourself into in that way. The silence, meditation and instruction were all really well-done. Its a legitimate yoga school (with headquarters in Mexico) that offers the retreat. The location is indescribably beautiful and energetically powerful."

"After studying and practicing yoga and Advaita Vedanta for many years, I recently experienced a profound fusion of the two ancient understandings in a Hridaya Yoga meditation retreat in Pisac, Peru, under the superb guidanc of Laksman, a very gifted teacher. The heart-centered approach of Hridaya is a much needed remedy for our busy minds."
