Renew your spirit and passion for life at this off the grid retreat at the gorgeous tropical oasis of Sayulita. Join Martini Yoga for a magical inward journey, get grounded in the rawness that is the Mexican jungle, allow yourself to practice presence under the Pacific sun, bend, and stretch without the distractions of laundry or groceries, and breathe freely as you revel in the organic culinary mastery of the Haramara kitchen.
During this retreat, you will be accommodated at Haramara Retreat Center. It is located on the Central Pacific coast of mainland Mexico in the coastal region of the state of Nayarit (known as Riviera Nayarit) near the town of Sayulita. Situated on twelve private acres of land on the magnificent rugged coast of the Pacific Ocean, and backed by the Sierra Madre mountains, Haramara Retreat is nestled into the tropical jungle vegetation on the hillside overlooking its own private and pristine beach.
Spread across the jungle hillside, and connected by a network of private trails, native and untouched tropical vegetation surrounds and embraces each one of the sixteen unique individual cabanas (palm thatched cabins), an eight bed deluxe dormitory, two yoga shalas, an open air dining room, a therapeutic wellness center, a private beach, a saltwater pool, and a boutique.
Each charming and cozy cabana has been carefully designed to subtly merge the internal and external environments while meeting strict ecological standards with as little disturbance to the flora and fauna as possible. They are spread over the property, making each one absolutely secluded and private, with stunning ocean and jungle views abound from every one of them. Enjoy the rustic luxury of any one of the personally designed cabanas, which feature comfortable beds with hand woven sheets, oil lamps, and candles for softly lit evenings, and original and uniquely designed individual bathrooms.
All cabanas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon siestas (naps), each is equipped with its own unique and individually designed private bathroom with hot water, monogrammed towels, and an open air shower with a view.
The dormitory is a non-coed dormitory. It has been designed to accommodate up to eight people in a shared bedroom and bathroom facility. You will enjoy the same features of the cabanas but in a large open room with individual beds for each person. There are two bathrooms in the dormitory, one at each end, to accommodate up to four people each. In each bathroom there are two showers, two sinks, and one toilet.
There is daily housekeeping service for both the cabanas and the dormitory, and every detail is attended to right down to the fresh flowers. Getting to and from places at Haramara is a delight, every foot of jungle path and the private beach is hand raked each morning. It is all part of the magic.
This retreat will take place in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico. Once known as a tranquil fishing village, with its cultural blend of beaches, shops, restaurants, activities, and smiling people, Sayulita has slowly developed into a popular picturesque off-the-beaten-path travel destination. Nestled in a gentle palm tree-lined bay just 45 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport, it offers visitors and residents incredible beaches, lush jungles, and a taste of rural Mexico in an incredibly safe environment. With cobblestone streets hosting dogs, chickens, and playing children, Sayulita is a half-century away from nearby Puerto Vallarta and its huge resorts, discos, and parasailing.
Each day, Laura will lead two all levels yoga classes. The morning class will be a Vinyasa flow style class whereas the evening or afternoon class will be more gentle and restorative. Laura will also lead some conversation on yogic philosophy, history, and spirituality throughout the retreat. Laura is able to accommodate anyone on her retreats, including those with severe injuries and/or no yoga practice whatsoever. Classes will on average be 1.5 hours in length.

"Thank you for opening our minds and bodies to the practice and teachings of yoga on the retreat, for opening our ears to listen to others and our own voice inside that we sometimes ignore, for opening our eyes to the beauty and culture of the Balinese people and the world around us, for opening our souls to look inward and discover things we didn't see about ourselves before, and for opening our hearts to new friendships and connections we will have for life. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to being a repeat offender! (With a smaller suitcase next time)."
