Explore the basic principles of yoga and gain an understanding of the essential elements needed to deepen your inner awareness in your practice of yoga in order to be an authentic guide to others. Marianne’s teachings focuses on helping you uncover how to embody what you teach through a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum.
During the training course, you will be staying in Pranamar Oceanfront Villas, a gorgeous, intimate boutique hotel right on the water with luxury two-story villas built around a free-form saltwater pool and tropical gardens, and elaborate beachfront villas. Picture Balinese architecture with bamboo, hardwoods, stone, water, and plenty of windows and doors to let in fresh sea breezes.
The elegantly designed villas at Pranamar, built with Costa Rican hardwoods, bamboo, and plenty of windows and doors, invite you to enjoy nature and ocean views in an intimate setting. Each two-story villa has two air-conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and plenty of decks and terraces.
Luxurious granite stone tubs surrounded by tropical gardens give a unique, exotic touch to the open-air bathrooms. Decorated with imported, hand-crafted Indonesian furniture, and floating around a free-form pool, the villas create a relaxed, romantic atmosphere complemented by their natural surroundings.
All four poolside villas include personal pool entrance, two air-conditioned bedrooms, fans, screens, small bar fridge, garden bathroom with granite stone tub, laptop-size security safes, Wi-Fi, and two king beds or one king and two twins (depending on your preference).
The two oceanfront luxury villas sit directly in front of the beach, offering uninterrupted sunset views. They also include a full kitchen, oversized verandas, and extra spacious rooms.
This 200-hour yoga teacher training is true immersion at its finest. Upon completion of the training, you will earn a 200-hour certificate, will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance, and be able to continue your education with advanced yoga teacher training programs.
Marianne carefully selects her resort partners in Costa Rica to provide comfortable and secure lodging accommodations, delicious, gourmet vegetarian meals, and inspiring study areas - all of which are set in lush, tropical environments. This is the perfect retreat for getting away from the day-to-day worries of life to allow time for self-study and contemplation in an ocean side setting.
The first requirement would be to get to know Marianne’s background and her teaching philosophy, explore the difference between yoga vacation and yoga teacher trainings, and read more from Marianne’s past students. It is important that every person who chooses Marianne Wells Yoga School yoga teacher training understands who Marianne is and the why behind what she lives and teaches with her teacher trainings.
The more expectations and preconceived notions you have about what your yoga teacher training will or should include, the less you focus on the experience you are having. The students who arrive in Costa Rica with a willing heart and the desire to move toward the life of a yogi have the most rewarding experiences.
Yoga teacher training is not a two week detox, yoga bootcamp, retreat, or vacation. Being a yoga student with Marianne means two weeks of packed days where you must be fully present in body, mind, and spirit. Don’t start your yoga teacher training journey overly fatigued or with a body that is not well-prepared for the long (albeit extremely rewarding!) days.
Coming with a rested body and a focused mind will start you on your path to fulfillment as a yoga teacher. In addition, read as much as you can about yoga philosophy and history, the anatomy of yoga, and the various styles of yoga. Take as many different classes from a variety of instructors in different venues as possible. A broad experience base and an open mind will serve you well in this training course.
Marianne's teaching draws on the traditions of Bhakti, Tantra, Hatha, and Vinyasa to help bring the ancient universal wisdom to modern seekers. Her multidimensional yoga trainings will inspire you to live from your heart, to find your peaceful inner strength, and to see the unity within our diversity.
This yoga teacher training course will take place on the spectacular beach of Playa Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Santa Teresa Beach is custom-built for fun. Famous for year-round surf and a friendly, chill vibe, this small village attracts visitors from all over the world who come to experience adventure and fun in a relaxed, tropical environment.
You will be served three delicious gourmet meals daily. Imagine sitting under beautiful high bamboo ceilings and gazing out over a serene lagoon pool while enjoying delicious, lovingly prepared food. A dining experience of unforgettable quality, Pranamar's restaurant will most likely linger in your mind long after the course ends.
