During the yoga retreat, you will be staying at West Lexham. West Lexham is a beautiful rural setting and luxury eco-friendly country manor estate. The heritage buildings and handcrafted furniture lift the spirits and inspire people to unfurl to their full potential. Powered by solar, sustainably sourced wood, community spirit, and fresh local foods, just allow the fresh air and verdant nature to work its magic.
West Lexham takes care of every detail from the shell mosaics to the bonsai forests and original artworks. As well as using only eco and allergy friendly products throughout, they energetically clear and change the spaces and rooms. During this retreat, you can stay in a single room, double / twin room, or triple room with en-suite bathrooms. If you would like to stay in a room with shared bathrooms, you can choose to stay in a single room for 545 GBP or a double / twin room for 3955 GBP.
The yoga weekend includes five yoga workshops style, lifestyle, and street language philosophy, with a nice practice themed and sequenced around the idea of stimulating the elimination of building up both physical emotional and mental. This weekend retreat will begin on Friday evening at 17:30 with a gentle asana practice and the deep relaxation of yoga Nidra, followed by dinner at 19:30.
Yoga Nidra is often taught after dinner. Before breakfast on Saturday, you will practice from 08:30 to 10:30 (asana, pranayama, and meditation). After lunch, you will be free to explore the gardens or the countryside, or just to chill out. The afternoon class will be from 17:00 to 19:00, and will include more pranayama and meditation techniques. The dinner will be at 19:30.
Sunday morning’s class will be from 09:00-11:00, and will also incorporate asana, pranayama, and meditation. The brunch will follow. At 13:00, there will be a one-hour workshop on how to keep the benefits of the retreat for longer and tips to practice at home. A farewell treat will be served at 14:00.
Between classes, there will be free time to finally finish your book, snuggled next to the wood burners, or treat yourself to a well-deserved massage or wonder around the estate or down the to Holkham beach.
Margherita Dal Pra
Margherita began her yoga journey in 1994 in Italy. When she moved to London in 1995, she met the most wonderful teachers with whom she practiced and was introduced to an array of different schools of thought. In 2003 she decided to become a yoga teacher. During her first 200 hours teacher training, she met the most gifted teachers, including Aadil Palkhivala, Shiva Rea, and Rod Stryker. The classes are a synthesis of Anusara bio-mechanical principles of alignment, along with heart-centered themes and the lineage, also with depth of knowledge of Tantric Hatha energetics in the Para yoga style.
This yoga retreat will take place at West Lexham Manor located not far from the famous North Norfolk coast.
The healthy seasonal vegetarian and organic delicious meals will be prepared with love by a private chef. Margherita's retreats are unique for the great emphasis of the nutritional quality of the food, the presentation, and how food can support lives and practice.
