Margherita Dal Pra
Margherita began her yoga journey in 1994 in Italy. When she moved to London in 1995, she met the most wonderful teachers with whom she practiced and was introduced to an array of different schools of thought. In 2003 she decided to become a yoga teacher. During her first 200 hours teacher training, she met the most gifted teachers, including Aadil Palkhivala, Shiva Rea, and Rod Stryker. The classes are a synthesis of Anusara bio-mechanical principles of alignment, along with heart-centered themes and the lineage, also with depth of knowledge of Tantric Hatha energetics in the Para yoga style.
The Commonwork Centre and Bore Place House are set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to Sevenoaks in Kent. Bore Place House is an old Tudor manor house with Jacobean and Victorian extensions. There is a large comfortable sitting room with an open fire for those chillier autumn and winter weekends.
It is surrounded by an ancient walled garden with a beautiful lily pond, and the working organic dairy farm, pottery and brickworks that make up Commonwork Farm. This special and unspoilt environment makes for a very relaxed weekend with a great sense of freedom.
There is wonderful walking amongst the thousands of acres of surrounding countryside. The Sunday morning walk follows the Bore Place Field Trail. For those wishing to get out of town earlier on Friday, there are country houses to visit, good walks and an excellent local pub, “The Wheatsheaf”, serving great lunches.
